| First of all, you could have easily checked the forum section of this anime and realized that there are already two threads about "discussing" a second season with one of them being literally on the very top. Buried beneath a myriad of opinion pieces saying how there´s gonna be a new season in 2018, 2019 and so on, you will see some important bits of information on how the light novel sales were/are fairly good, while the anime itself experienced mediocore DVD/BD sales. You could have also easily checked Google. I know the "let me google that for you" meme is tired and old, but I did google it for you. Except for suspicious-looking and weirdly named blog entries, you can´t find any reliable/official source talking about a season 2 coming out soon. Anyways, what are the chances for a second season then? I would say don´t get your hopes up. Unless they need another sales booster for the LN (which is what these types of anime are anyways), you are not going to see a continuation. If you´re not going to personally fund a new season, there is literally nothing you can do. The Japanese market is still the number one metric and a loud vocal minority of Western internet denizens aren´t going to change anything. But, you never know. I personally hope this is never gonna happen. Throwing more money at this unimaginative and boring drivel just seems like such a waste. Especially since the market has been flooded with anime just like this and it seems like it isn´t going to stop anytime soon. On a side note, you´ve pretty much fallen victim hook, line, and sinker for the sequel bait. The scene with them showing the mc with his wive collection is not actually in the original source material at that point as far as I was told. It is not like these kinds of cliffhangers are a promise/guarantee for a new season, it is mainly there to keep the interest going and to get you to buy the LN. |
