| A truly original , character driven awesome anime ... It would have been a 10/10 or atleast 9/10..... if the island arc (episodes 15-19) weren't 70% generic and boring !! As long as you skip or speed run those episodes... Each other episode is truly a master stoke... And keep your tissues ready |

I don't really know if I should take those low ass reviews seriously or what. as an emotional journey, its pretty good. and its first and last episode are just straight up amazing BUT as far as world building, plot convenient and power system goes, its not the best. the animation also gets kind of weak towards the end, and the final ark (aside from the last episode) is just kind of meh even in the emotional and character part. so is it good? i say it still has more good about it than bad. and since it's a pretty unique show, i think it's worth watching if you find it's idea interesting. just don't expect it to be top 100-200 anime of all time, like the score suggests. |

| I'll this: if you have one and only one anime you are allowed to watch, it should be this one. Frankly, this anime has destroyed my enjoyment of other anime. It's so beautiful on so many levels that all else is lackluster now. I am reading the manga, and waiting for season 2. I have a reason to go on living.. waiting for season 2. |
