| Mito survived that's surprising. I guess changes around incorporating movie original character into it was alright, at times bit forced like her jumping in middle of the boss fight we already knew, oh well I guess better than keeping it exactly same as in anime, but overall pretty good. Missed the best scene with Argo the rat. Almost forgot her, but she showed up in the last second. LC seed planted in the raid. Glad they didn't forget the set up for the next movie. It was full Asuna, Kirito stuff was more or less same to original, I love Light novels, movies was pretty good. Oh and so i don't forget why I am watching now after 3 years. As of 2:55pm, November 7th, 2024, the game has been cleared! Congratulation to all the SAO survivors!!! |

| This was a great movie, seeing the aincrad story from the point of view of asuna is quite refreshing. Since the original sao story was told from kirito's perspective and he was beater, this movie feels like breath in the fresh air. As usual A-1 picture really does great work in SAO, the action animation was great and so are fight scenes. Asuna being overpowered by those plant monsters was a terrifying scene especially how desperate mito was in there. Seeing kirito being shy and acting awkward while trying to talk with asuna was really cute, I miss this old kirito before he started to take all the blame and start being a solo beater This was an enjoyable ride and the movie was pretty amazing. 9/10 |
| Nice to see more about Asuna's beginning.....her mother is still a jerk. It's a good movie but didnt tread any new ground aside from filling in more backstory. 7/10 for me. |
