Oh boy, they got the fights for the Chunin Exams. Not going to lie, that got a bit...chaotic at the arena.

Gotta say, Inojin is really picking up the pace for his team. I still wish this Chunin Exams was worth following though as the pacing still feels strange.

Seems like it's about time for the show to go on. The first showdown is between Inojin and the Kakashi-looking kid, Houki. Houki is really strong but Inojin is not backing down at all. Good to see these kids making progress. That was a cool little fight IMO. Cool to see them shaking hands after the match.

And, once again, it is Chunin Exams, so something is about to go wrong with it. LOL. Let's just see what is it this time around.

Was routing for Houki since the fight was set in last weeks previews. Beast Scroll as well as Mind Transfer are strictly support ninjutsu. Inojin will probably never win a 1v1 in this series because of that. He has the potential to trap his opponent in place THEN use Mind Transfer but his chakra control needs work. Houki has "copy ninja" 2.0 with his photographic memory. His eyes darted around like a sharingan users. And not to mention Anbu training, like breaking weak genjutsus, more advanced taijutsu progress, dont forget the name Houki. And finally I know what Kawaki is doing, he's playing coy for now about holding off on his shinobi training. He's watching the top of what would be considered his class fight and analyzing them since he only knows a fraction of possible ninjutsu techniques from what he's witnessed between the last two arcs. All these different types of ways to use chakra to fight and defend. Not a betting man but iif it was just taijutsu combat Im wiling to bet he can hold his own against any of these finalist. excluding Sarada and Boruto

I'm going to be the Wizard Hokage of the Pirates!!!!

It was like 5 min fight and im a bit dissapointed but Houki wins, nice for that boi. I'm sad that Shikadai needs to wait for next chunin exams for his friends to catch up. It seems unfair that Sai taught Houki the only thing he could use against Inojin lol

It was a pretty unfair match up for Inojin but you can't decide your opponent in real battles so it is what it is. I'm suprised by Houki's chakrapool for sure.. How the hell did he manage to cover the whole stadium with his wood jutsu? That's some insane shit he did there. He didn't use a lot of jutsu's beside his photographic memory so it's kinda understandable.
Anyway, Inojin got a bit too cocky after he managed to lure Houki into his trap. Sadly, he was mentally trained against attacks like that. It would have been a thousand times funnier if they put Kakashi's image when Houki said ''I'll be the one to win'' LOL.

On the otherside, Boruto and Mitsuki are going after some shady guys who captured Amado but seems like they're not on the train anymore. I guess they'll appear at the chunin exam at the last seconds..

It was okay.
Houki vs Inojin was a really good fight since i like the unique jutsu that Houki used to fight Inojin in a maze. However the Amado train filler story is obviously only there to stretch the anime and is also going back to the old Boruto anime times where every second EP was a meh filler. They should have continued the chunin exams without the Amado story so we can see epic fights instead. They could have even started the Iwabe vs Wasabi fight already if it wasn't for the Amado side story.

He just has to undo the jutsu like they always did in Shippuden or not?

I didn't have much expectations for this chuunin exam but Houki blew me away with amazement with his incredible earth style jutsu. For a copy of the copycat ninja Kakashi, Houki is a beast.

My thoughts of today's Episode is, I enjoyed Inojin-kun and Houki-kun's battle. That Doton Toujinbo is amazing. Inojin-kun is really close but Houki-kun's already trained well to mental attacks by Sai-san.

What's with Amado-san? 😅 Hope Boruto-kun and Mitsuki-kun find him right away!

Pacin of the chunin examen is ok.

Damn they are using Hima and her friends to pulling out Boruto and Mitsuki out of Chunin exam arena. Once again Konoha security must be in a great question by how easily Amado, the exact important person from the previous arc, took away by such a bandits.

At least i got what i wish, Sai expression is enough to put an end to this episode. Inojin actually unlucky and should be more careful against some kid under the Anbu teaching. As expected he became too cocky and Houki paid his previous mistake with a good counter.

Next, based on the title Wasabi will most likely win. If not, rip Wasabi's team...

One prediction correct so far. If all goes according to plan, Wasabi should win the next one. The episode itself was cool.

Nice fight. Houki using Earth Style to build terrain to his advantage. Didn't know he had such an impressive memory (they probably mentioned it in the episode introducing their team. Can't remember if it was brought up though. It's times like this I wish they got more fleshed out.). Plus, Inojin's feint at the end was pretty good.

Curious about the kind of cameras they have so the spectators could see through the rock maze that Houki made. Speaking of the maze, Shikadai and Cho-cho got to Inojin rather quickly O_O?
Notice: I read most manga in Japanese now so I'm not sure where you can read in English. Sorry in advance.

I'm quite happy Houki got his well deserved win. Yes his chakra capacity just amazed me since he managed to cover the entire arena but what I found even more amazing was the speed of those hand seals o.o it kinda reminded me of Kakashi VS Zabuza. Seems he has potential to be Kakashi Jr afterall 😁✌️

Next match is....meh. Wasabi's entire team is meh. I'm sorry 😅 but she might win otherwise their team will be without a chunin.

I'd like to see Sarada VS Tsubaki 😁 And I feel like Boruto and Mitsuki will both be disqualified 🤣

Yeah I think Houki's photographic memory was mentioned before. If I remember correctly, Kakashi, under his photographer disguise, was the one who proposed their team work under Sai after he found out about their abilities.

I don't remember too well which episode it was though. It was around the arc where all the academy kids went on part time jobs HAHA

Right. It was where they helped out at that post office. I think Houki was feeling as if his teammates weren't pulling their weight or something at that time but then realized they were doing what they were capable of in their own way.

First of all, Himawari comes to Boruto because of an issue that popped out. The two kids Eho and Yuina that Himawari has been doing ninja training with spotted somebody suspicious. Himawari has asked Boruto what she should do, and like the older brother he is Boruto decided to take on the task despite needing to get to the Battle Arena for the Chunin Exams. Mitsuki of course joins Boruto and the Chunin Exams commence.

Konohamaru is the referee for the final round and he did all the prep work to set up the arena, like the kind and generous shinobi he is. Konohamaru is getting closer and closer to becoming the Hokage.

So now we get to the juicy bit, Inojin Yamanaka vs. Houki Taketori. As I explained last week I had no clue how this would go, but I assumed since Houki has been training with Sai in the Anbu he had some tricks up his sleeve. What I didn't expect was for Houki to pull out something like Earth Style: Toujinbo and cover THE ENTIRE ARENA AT ONCE. Jeez that's some very wide ranged jutsu. Combine the maze he has created with his instant photographic memory and now Houki has created a scenario in which he has the environmental advantage.

At first he is pinpointing Inojin and gaining the advantage inch by inch, but then Inojin thinks ahead and catches him with his Mind Transfer Jutsu. Unfortunately for Inojin, Houki was training in jutsu that blocks out mental attacks, so Inojin had zero chance and lost. Surprisingly he wasn't extremely bummed about not becoming a Chunin. Inojin and Houki became closer as friends and gained respect for one another.

Now the next match is Iwabe Yuino vs Wasabi Izuno. This is perfect given they are always at each other's throats.

I'm excited to see this clash! This series keeps getting exciting.

That was kind of a disappointing fight to me. Like it was cool, but it was kind of dumb to me that they pulled the old secret jutsu nobody knows about because the ANBU are so secretive. I think Inojin should’ve won but I guess you can’t always have your more major side characters always winning to keep it interesting.

i didn't even think about it this way, but damn, i swear every anime does dumb stuff for drama lol (just like another seasonal "you're forbiddent to contact us for 5 years" ... "why didn't you write a letter?") , them taking amado was the most random thing ever, unless that was part amado's plan ... but as usual, the kids are the ones to notice/act , specially the ones who should be at another place at that time... oh whatever :D

edit: do they ever think about sending a shadow clone/snake/whatever to call for help before leaving the village? ...

Soo stupid, ALL they had to do was tell Naruto and he'd send a bunch of Shinobi, before he went to go himself. He should have At LEAST told his sister to go tell His dad he might be late and that Amado got kidnapped IMMEDIATELY, especially considering it's about Amado and with his Otausuki stuff going on. Also come on Sai, train your son better than this, I get he got hit by a Kunai, but to TRIP over a small rock as a Shinobi?! Inojin is so trash lol. Man I wish we didn't have filler arcs. Seriously Sai is a trash dad teaching him something to beat his son, and he's like proud of some punk kid more than his son, and screw Houki that Kakashi punk ass wannabe side character who shouldn't even be in another arc. Ugh

I couldn't give two cents to the whole Amado sub-plot, looks like another excuse to have Boruto and Mitsuki late for the exam for extra shock factor, unless it develops into something interesting, I hope.

Inojin and Houki really got me going, I like this match up, but I can't say the same for the next one, I hope I'm proven wrong.
