| Despite it being very of the time stylistically. I think some of the designs and fashions translate to manga a lot better. The girls overall looks are much better in a more simplified form as well, much cute. I'm coming here after finishing the first episode of the anime and I wouldn't call the manga extraordinary but it definitely lands a lot better. No fake "magic of friendship" and Momoko is not as ditzy or chaotically dumb here, she kind of just gets wrapped in her own fantasies and honestly they're pretty funny. And they seem much more junior high looking here then they do in the anime. I'm just saying.... Overall fun. If I continue I guess I'll do both side by side see where it goes. |
