Can someone explain me the whole thing between Panoma and Hayase?

At the end of episode 5, we saw Panoma shot bow to Hayase and in later episodes we saw flashback where Panoma was beheaded by Hayase, what happened between these events? And what happened to Hayase after the final episode?

If possible, can a manga reader clarify if this is explained in later parts of the story?

Not a manga reader but its obvious hayase is ded and what happened after parona shot hayase doesn't really matter

How did Hayase died? And what's up with one of the scene in episode 20 where a guy bringing fish was pulled by someone? Was it Hayase?

Parona missed the shot of that arrow and was killed by Hayase. In the end, Hayase was possessed by a Nokker and had sex with that random man. There's nothing else and if I tell you more it's spoiler

Parona missed that shot on purpose, because she did not wanted to kill someone. She paid the price for her poor judgement later on.
Hayase murderer Parona and her village as a "gift" to Fushi, so he would be able to assume Parona's form.
