| Rough translation of his blog entry (November 20) Link: He writes that he'll appear in episode 8 of Gokyoudai Monogatari as Machida Shunsuke. He met Oohara Sayaka-jou after a long time. They were together in Scrapped princess. Like always she is a great actress. He also met Taeko Kawata who helped him when he was new at the agency and writes that she'll have a concert in Osaka with 'Windys Murmur'. He went to see Miyano Mamoru-kun's live concert. It was fun and really great. (I don't get what he wrote here: いるんだよな… They exist...??? 稀に あんなコト出来ちゃう人 It's rare, someone who can do that??? ~xD what does he mean? What did Mamo do?~ ) In any case it was great!! (He also sent Mamo flowers like the other Gundam 00 main cast.) Then he writes that he has his third recording for a game this month. Following are three pictures he previously made. The first shows him with the Fullmetal Alchemist girls. Second is a Chupa Chups he got on Halloween. #3: He usually doesn't eat hamburger, but wanted to try a McChicken. He went to see Les Misérables. Maaya Sakamoto-jou was fantastic. (She plays Éponine in the musical.) As thought she's a really great actress. |

| Miki Blog, March 21: Osoku narimashita ga... (With some delay...) The first part is about the Seiyuu Awards. You can see him with Daisuke Namikawa and Kikuko Inoue who also won the supporting actor/ actress award. Next part is about a new job, he probably can tell more soon. He sounds excited: Honto ni sugoi no desu. I don't really get what he writes then. Something about that he went to Motegi. And that it was extremely cold. When I googled Motegi I found Twin Ring Motegi. He probably went to see a race since he's a big motorsports fan ...but I'm guessing here. ^^ Then he mentions the movie The Young Victoria. New dubbing role? The next part is about his birthday. His friends were holding a party for his wife and him. EDIT: This is not his wife but Mika Kanai. I apologize for the wrong translation. (^_^;) On one of the pictures is Miki with Miyu Irino and on the others you can see him with his wife. He says a great number of people congratulated him and there were letters that cheered him on, from oversees too. He thanks everyone and writes that he really appreciates it. On the 21. it was decided that he'll be writing a column for Japankart. In the last sentence he writes that there is some recording for a game. |

| Miki blog, April 05 Kangeki shite mairimashita (Went to the theater) He went to see Miyano-kun and Irino-kun in Garnet Opera (Garnet Opera) He writes that they were great and that he really likes them. Un honto ni oira wa futaritomo suki. (He is not using boku, ore or watashi, but oira to refer to himself. I've only seen Kappei Yamaguchi using 'oira' too once in his blog.) The recording for a game continues. At the end of June he'll perform in LOVE LETTERS 2010 20th Anniversary Special. (It's a 'reading drama' two people reading a script on stage.) He'll perform with Romi Park, an actress he likes very much. (more info about 'love letters' in japanese) He's already excited. Ima kara dokidoki desu. (first picture) Maaya Sakamotos concert at Nippon Budokan was absolutly great. chou suteki. He writes that he can't find the right words. (second picture) This year again the sakura/cherry trees are pretty. Like almost every year I'm cruising around in my car. It's nice. He went to New Tokyo Circuit (cart racing circuit) to do some tuning for the midsummer event Ｋ−ＴＡＩ he takes part in for some years now. Originally he wanted to take part in an endurance race... I don't understand what he writes next, something that he didn't start. Then he writes that it was cold and that he had cup ramen, probably the first after years, for lunch. (third picture) It was delicious. This reminds him of a conversation he had in the studio lobby a few days ago. They were discussing what the standard flavor of Cup Noodles is. (lol) Soy sauce flavor or ebi (shrimp) flavor ... Then there is some more philosophizing about cup ramen and in the end he writes that he doesn't eat much of them but they bring various memories. Then more motor sport. He'll participate in a 7 hour endurance race in July 25. And there is another one on April 18. (last picture) From Tokyo Anime Fair. He and Miyano-kun are getting into fighting spirit for the Gundam 00 Movie. |

I didn't know she got re-married after divorcing Kouichi Yamadera. o_O I did however know it was Mika's birthday too, and that she had a joint party with Miki. The event was planned by their mutual friend and fellow seiyuu, Anri Katsu (whose blog I follow diligently ♥). Speaking of which, Katsu-san also went to see Mamoru Miyano in Garnet Opera... but I can't remember which day of the weekend Katsu went to know if perhaps they went together? Neither mentions the other, so I'm guessing not. Still, it's fun to read about their daily lives, huh? :D |

It's hard spotting names when you're learning, and when I hit a snag like that, I always look for the affectionate or proper suffixes. Like in this case I think Miki called her ちゃん (chan) since they're around the same age. Sorry, I was just really shocked, thinking that had been true. I don't follow female actresses, either; I only know Mika Kanai because of Gundam X, and I visit her blog once in awhile since she works at Ken Productions with Katsu-san... she supported him when his band had their first live performance. Anyhow, glad I could help! :D |
