So... I have been out for a long time and started watching season 2 in 2020 until I reached episode 4 and stopped. Now I'm back and watched the episodes until episode 11.

I have so many questions and the story sometimes really does not make sense for me anymore. I have read some comment trying to avoid spoilers.

So my question is should I start over season 2 from the beginning or is it normal to don't understand what's happening right now.

I think it depends on what exactly confused you.
There are definitely things we aren’t supposed to understand yet but a lot of the plot should still make sense with the knowledge we are given currently.

I would suggest you do, you might even want a Season 1 recap. Re:Zero is very plot heavy so you'll be lost if you get into it after 2 years, especially halfway through a season.

when you start to watch it again, did you continued from ep 5 or started over from ep 1. i think watching back the first 4 ep would help since all of season 2 is one big interconnected arc.

Consider RE:watching from Season 1 to clear up doubts.

If you forgot, then you should probably rewatch it. Watching something and understanding is better than when you’re not understating a single thing.

Start again.

Even watching weekly, when it aired kinda made it hard for me to keep up sometimes...Character interactions and past experiences only get more and more entangled, the further you get into the Show

I'd even say it's kinda perfect for a binge watch, in that sense. Treat it like a Movie. Maybe over Two days.

I recommend rewatching it over again, that’s what I did. S2 starts getting pretty confusing concerning sin archbishops and other things like that
The right mindset when watching an anime is hoping that it will break your top 10

Go for a recap on YouTube if you don't have the time to watch from the beginning.

I think it’s a bit of both. I had the same problem where I stopped after ep 4 and then didn’t watch consistently, which left me confused, disoriented, and kinda bored. It took me talking to my brother (who had finished the show) about it for a bit for him to remind me of important details, before I could get back into it. So yeah, I’d say if you’re having trouble, that makes sense, it’s a dense show, maybe rewatch a bit until you understand what’s happening better.

Rewatching it isn’t a bad idea, but imo the first part of the 2nd season is confusional on purpose. Don’t worry tho! Everything will make sense going on with episodes.
Btw you could rewatch the first season starting, like, from episode 13-14 maybe.

Watch it from beginning of Season 1, read the comments for details you missed or short videos explaining episode if you want. You can't understand this series complexity instantly, some things are very hidden and can only understood after deep discussions.

Some said binge watching is perfect but i think watching weekly was better because true value of Re:Zero comes with discussions. That's another reason score goes down because when aired weekly people who understand some details explained the other overall everyone enjoyment was maxed but after try to binge couple years after you can't understand every detail without rewatch, that's not possible. Even after re-watch there will be things you missed.

To understand Re:Zero
- Watch when airs weekly, join the discussions, analyze details
or
- Read the novels.

You can still enjoy Re:Zero a lot without understanding half of it but you will never understand why Re:Zero is the best japanese fiction.

There is people who thinks Season 1 is better than Season 2 because they didn't really understand the series. You can enjoy Season 1 without following details but i don't think you can enjoy Season 2 that much without caring, analyzing the series.
