Funato's rage is kinda understandable after what happened in these latest episode. Guy still has a lot of charisma in that personality of his though.

The sad scene of loss this episode though..such is so common in their shinobi world, even in this new timeline.

Even this episode felt more emotional than both Kagura and Hebichigo's death. The 2 children that lost both their parents and siblings.
This was a bit better than the previous episodes.

Did her Nee-chan died? It's kinda sad. But atleast she herself was happy.

Uh oh. Ikada-kun is now awakened. He's been holding up all that's been happening and its now time for him to fight as well.

Be ready Boruto-kun. What will happen next week? I'm excited.

Funato clan sure had a rough time when the women working their ass so hard like that. Ikada mother get frozen, Funamushi comes in a wrap, and Seiren painfully face the sad fate under those dazzling bright. But, well! Just when you thought there's a possible peace since the older brother plan surprisingly was such a moderate idea. In the other side, Ikada took the path that lead this overarching story into another infinity time ahead. I like how Chojuro and Asari smiling in the end. Its can lead them into a baby cry face, just like what Boruto did when Kagura dying. So can't wait for that!

Ngl the previous episodes had me completely thinking that this arc is the worst arc in Boruto and fvcking terrible
But this episode was surprisingly nice
I'll prolly go as far as say this arc would been pretty decent if they didnt stretch it or nerf the characters
So far so good
I can't believe I'm excited for the next episode lol

So this episode focuses on the events of the Funato headquarters during Funamushi's operation on Kagura's village. It looks at everything from Ikada's perspective and we get to see some past moments.

The major flashback is when Araumi is fighting with his wife Minamo while she's holding Ikada. The enemy launches an attack that freezes her and she has Araumi promise to raise Ikada well as he'll be a great leader for the Funato.

In the present Araumi and Isari try to talk to Ikada and they let him know that the Funato has their hopes riding on him.

Ikada is struggling to figure out what he wants to do, but then....

Seiren wakes up after her critical injury from Kagura and Boruto and gets out of her hospital bed. She spits out blood and Ikada tries to comfort her by lying to her and saying that the ambush operation was a success. She dies happily and then Ikada transforms. He jumps into the water, gets gills, and has a cold look in his eyes. Boruto is in shock after learning that Ikada is Seiren's younger brother.

I'm curious about what will happen in the next episodes.

This was probably the first and only episode in Boruto (Maybe even in Naruto) where the focus was 100% on a side-filler character in the present time.

I liked it because the episode shows Ikada doubting whether to fight or not and his father and his clan put pressure on him to do so until after Seiren's death he decides to fight

The shock in Boruto's face is the same one I had when I realised how many episodes have passed since this boat arc started.

Wow the tone of this episode alone is so good.

And now it comes full circle. Sets Boruto in a tough position. Ikada has a reason to fight now. Especially after that lie he told his sister to give her peace.

If Ikada didn't come aboard after this there's no way that the Funato clan was going to stand a chance.
Notice: I read most manga in Japanese now so I'm not sure where you can read in English. Sorry in advance.

So the whole Funato Organization (main branch, followers (fighter husbands & ship maintaining wives), adults and kids) all are cringe lords and I could probably go on and on about how pathetic they are and need to just go die. The worst part is, I actually see this as realistic because in the real world this cringe happens all the time with mass murderers and other criminals doing their thing without reason, then their wives and children get mad at the ones who stop them.
The harpoon guy seems to be the only one based in reality right now and is doing the logical thing the clan should have done long, long ago. Just talk and make peace. Rest of clan wants genocide for no reason at all, then makes false claim of "vengeance" for people defending themselves.
Boruto is being dumb too, it's not your fault, baka!

Fish boy apparently is overpowered, he just made the sea life freak out and the ocean itself freeze in time with him blowing a hole in it and him flying. I don't like him either since he seems to be filled with rage after seeing how happy his sister was when he lied about them being successful in committing genocide.

I wonder if harpoon guy will fight against the Funato. His peace attempts will be null as the majority and leader do not want peace, they want bloodshed.

this episode makes zero sense,
the son of Funamushi couldn't get there so fast if they said it was 3 days since they found team 5 members, while it days for the army to even march when they were on the land not to mention ship travel...

I hate it when anime/manga that I enjoyed ends, especially when there could be much longer plot and when I love main heroine :P

I wish I had magic glasses that let me see real world in anime colors ;)
