Came across this on a blog I follow regularly (usually focused on east europe affairs, with a pro-soviet stance), and there was a piece about Japan, and I wondered if Japanese-culture loving "commies" / 日本文化が好きな共産・社会主義者 might be curious, so here it is:

http://thesaker.is/japans-perceptions-of-the-propaganda-regarding-the-smo/

In the early days of the conflict I also bumped into a couple of Japanese people on Telegram and had short chats with them. They were looking for non-Japanese language news coverage of the conflict (I guess there's a strong sample bias for the more suspicious-of-establishment sorts on the kind of Telegram channel we met at, hah) so I shared what English-language sources I had.

And actually I'm thoroughly mystified by European attitudes towards the conflict. It looks like economic self-harm, resulting in a grimmer future. Do people approve? Is it just Europe's leaders acting undemocratically? Or is it what European citizens actually want?

(And since I'm wondering about democracy, here's another interesting take on what democracy means: https://twitter.com/RnaudBertrand/status/1532236805143027713 )
