| I absolutely love this series and as decent as the 2004 anime was, I feel like it doesn't do the manga any justice at all, and a good reboot (pretty much a Fruits Basket treatment) would be really good! Does anyone else think so? Do any of you think that it's possible for Gakuen Alice to get a reboot? |
| possible, but unlikely. making a reboot costs a ton of money, so companies will prioritize series that are massively popular (and that sell well). That was the case with Sailor Moon, Fruit Basket and Sakura Card Captor (technically a sequel, but you get what i mean). There is also an opportunity cost: anime companies could use the money to fund another anime instead. |

| Your post reminds me to watch this show. I wanted to watch this a long time ago but due to other stuffs happening I forgot about it. I would love to get a reboot/longer adaptation of this. We need more shoujo anime. As for the chances, it's low I think. Case like Fruit Basket doesn't happen very often.. though it seems like we've been getting quite a few reboots in the last few years so it's still possible. |
