I don’t think the Black Scripture is much of a threat to Ainz. I think it was episode 3 or 4 of this season we saw a meeting from the higher ups of the Slane Theocracy. They mentioned a member of the Black Scripture who was scouting at The Battle of the Katze Plains. She was so terrified by what she saw she was immobilised with fear, she isnt the strongest member by far as the have two Demi-Gods (ancestors of players who previously came to the world) but that should give an idea of how little power in general humans will have against Nazarick.

They do fight an incredibly strong enemy in the upcoming episodes, the Platinum Dragon Lord. Who we saw at some point in an earlier season briefly. He’s estimated to be around lv 85-90. So he could match some of Aura’s pets. That’s also in a certain form, his true form I think is more powerful. But when you consider Nazarick has 10 or 11 lv 100 people with many world items, against Nazarick’s combined might they don’t really stand a chance.

I’ve only read up to the official translations which is vol 14 but I think vol 15 and 16 released recently so something new could have happened but it seems like groups like the Black Scripture are trying to build a United front.

Platinum Dragon Lord is gonna give Pandora’s Actor a bit of a hard time later this season otherwise as far as i know no.
I started LN 15 and maybe the Elf King is said to be strong (regular humans/Elves say that) but i doubt he could ever do something against Nazarick.

There are no people who could control Shalltear. They used a World Artifact (Downfall of Castle and Country) from Ygdrassyl for that. It was the robe of Kaire (who was stabbed, and killed by Shalltear in S1, which is why she wasn't controlled with intent), and it is unknown whether it was destroyed, recovered or that anybody else could use it after Kaire.

Platinum Dragon Lord is the strongest entity, at least for the moment, and while he is incredibly strong, he is weaker than the strongest Floor Guardians in Nazarick.

There are actually quite a few, the problem is that the for most of the series ainz and co have been confined to this region which is actually the weakest region in the new world, it is how humanity has managed to survive here due there isolation from the rest of the continent.

To name a few and il spoiler tag it as this has ln spoilers so be warned:

Zy Tl Qae: This is an enemy that was encountered in the first drama cd that takes place sometime after vol 4, Ainz encounters an Evil Treant Monster called Zy tl Qae it is a lvl 80-85 being, still not a big threat to ainz and co but it is an entertaining fight.

Riku(PDL) This is the one who shows up in the intro and we saw back in s2, he is a True Dragon Lord he fights Ainz(PA) during the last stages of the kingdom arc in 1vs1 and is eta to be lvl 80-90 when using the suit of armor, he is real power is higher when using his true form and has his build perfect to counter ainz.

Aindra: He is Lakyus uncle the leader of the other adamantite adventurer team in the kingdom Red Drop, He somehow found a PowerSuit Armor that is a yygdrasil item along with a heavy machine gun that is similiar to cz gun, the suit itself is between 60-80 and is a threat level for the pledias not so much for ainz and co but he works with PDL.

SLane: This one is the big bad that has been building uo, they have a culture all focused on player they worshiped as gods, they also have access to their items and they have god kin that have player blood that make them stronger than the avg human, the black scriptures members are designed to battle at least the pledias and the captain is at least 60+ while Zesshi(Antilene) the one with the scythe is confirmed to be lvl 88 and a special talent that is powerfull she has a fight with Mare in the latest arc that is entertaing to say the least XD.

We also have her Father Decam Hougan the Elf King and zesshi father, he is too a powerfull being like lvl 70+ can use tier 10 magic, the highest tier magic and also has yygdrasil gear, but unlike other god kin he is just not a player decendant he is the son of a player one of the Eight Greed Kings and he too has an entertaining but still somewhat bloody match with ainz( the details make you laugh)

We Also have the True Dragon Lord Alliance that consist of the strongest entities in the world, Brightness Dragon Lord is like lvl90+ while Elder Coffin Dragon Lord is lvl 95 and he fought ainz well enough in an alternate timeline story not to mention Deep Darkness Dragon Lord who along with Platinum Dragon Lord are two individuals who have killed players in the past.

point is some are more of a match than others and will provide enough combat they they are not instant level one shot like usual.

Point is there are strong enemies it is just they are not easily encountered by s4 will have one of the most spectacular matches since s1 with ainz vs shalltear so i hope you enjoy it

long answer:

yes, but no. yes primarily because of the existence of the true dragon lords that can take on the floor guardians and win. The only reason floor guardians even have a chance at winning against them is because each one is decked out with a world item after what happened with shalltear and the black scripture brainwashing her.

no because they can only go against individual members of nazarick at a time. if they tried to take on all of nazarick, they would always fail considering that nazarick withstood a 1500 player invasion in the past

This is quite an intriguing thread.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

I see your point.

You think that the world items would work as some sort of "equalizer" but that is not really the case.

Ainz and company, as we know, are the strongest people around and they also possess, given how rare world items actually are, the biggest collection of world items in the world so if, somehow, worst comes to worst just give each floor guardian 3 world items and they will solve it.

Basically Maru Wrote an Alternate Timeline spin off called: Vampire of the Ruined Nation which ainz travels 200 years in the past in a different region from where we are without nazarick and he meets evileye in the past, he meets with ECDL and fights him but he has not in the main timeline yet.

uh pandora's actor fought and beat him in a weakened state to let ainz know his strength. The black scripture was worried about pdl but he already lost so theres no one to really face ains.

Ainz is not even the most powerful within nazarick, there are beings and items of extreme power. There will be nothing to oppose nazarick.
This is not your typical story where the hero defeats the demon king at the end, this is unique and not cliche.

The short answer you're looking for is no. There's literally no threat to ainz what so ever. No other faction comes close.

The closest you'll ever see in this no-stakes show was the world item that brainwashed the vampire girl for one episode.

and I love that, what i like about this show is seeing the hero or puny human hope and effort getting crushed by nazarick

i asking is gonna be enemy who string is because it getting boring is there's none, plus sting enemy will boost and lift up human hope for surviving, just to be crushed again at the end
