| If you read the novel you will see how half of the story is told from the humans' perspective as they struggle to fight against the great evil that Nazarick is. And especially the internal struggles that the good characters go through as they deal with the difficult situations are very well written. Liking Overlord doesn't mean to approve of the destruction caused by Ainz in the world. Every single time there's a battle, I'm always hoping that the evil characters from Nazarick will lose, and in fact the story is clearly written in a way so as to make the reader want the enemies of Nazarick to win, and to see it as a pity when they end up getting killed by Ainz and his minions. It's precisely the fact that the protagonist is the villain of the story that makes it so interesting, not because it's a story in which the villain wins, but because it's a story in which the odds set by the formula in the narrative are against the good guys, so every small sign that the good guys may win feels a lot more satisfying than in stories in which the protagonist is the hero. And I'm 100% right-wing, if you want to know. |

What's so funny about that? I don't believe that you actually laughed reading that; You're lying. Did you read what I wrote in the rest of my message? It seems like you purposely ignored the rest of my message, in which my arguments were written, because it wasn't convenient for the impression that you're aiming to cause with this thread, so you just picked one small part of my text and wrote something to express laughter in an attempt to make it seem as if the laughter were enough for you to make your point. Your reaction is very dishonest and childish for someone who is claiming to be over thirty years old. There's nothing funny about being 100% right-wing. Being right-wing means to be in favour of the Catholic Church and the monarchy, and against perversions and bloody revolutions. Also, how can you be criticizing this series because of "the sight of people being brutally murdered" even though you have Gantz and characters from Shingeki no Kyojin in your favourites list? Gantz is probably by far the most disgusting manga, which clearly promotes nihilism, as humans are portrayed as if they were literally just expandable objects, with the author trying to find as many ways as possible to draw humans having their body deformed and cut into pieces to spill blood and expose the internal organs in a gruesome way to please some sick audience who enjoys that kind of thing. Someone who likes Gantz has absolutely no business criticizing people for liking another series. Not to mention that you have Eren in your favourites list... and you're deliberately using the image of a character making a very repulsive looking face as your avatar, deliberately trying to appear as unpleasing as possible to other people. It's very easy to see your ill intention here. |
