There are currently 666 members in the shadow garden, and among them, only 7 shadow members got direct power from cid. And the rest didn't have cid's power. The seven who got direct power are way more powerful than other members and if you saw anime you should know rose also got direct power from cid only, making her the 8th person to have cid's power.

So at that time, the main goal was to recruit rose not to kill perv, if even perv was killed there it would be still meaningless. Instead keeping him alive will make his debut again later, with a different approach.

I always love the reply of "you just don't understand how deep this is" and "your not watching it right", honestly i came here after ep 3 to see if i was missing something because i just don't find this show to be all that good. After reading the stuff here from people who do like it, i get why i kinda hate it as i came in looking at the tag expecting a different type of comedy. Maybe it gets better but the "he doesn't know" being a big par of the joke just isn't hitting with me.

I will say i do like the action parts, so ehh if i get bored enough one day maybe i'll give this another shot with an open mind.
