I think I remember hearing that part of the reason is it’s the source of all her “otherworldly” knowledge about devices no one has seen before, like I think she made a magic kettle, and she says that witches always fly on brooms but no one knows what she’s talking about.

Anisphia is shown to have had vision of her past life, as a kid. Also there's a hint during her speech about magicology (episode 8 I think ?) where she says "witches fly on brooms, everyone knows that" and Euphie answers "where did you get that idea ? She has a vision of what a witch looks like that comes from her past life.
