For the chance of a second season... I don't know, I haven't read the LN, but seems there are some adaption differences in the latest anime episodes compared to the third volume. Also, the third volume was adapted more fast (in olny 3 episodes) compared to the other two volumes (1 and 2).

s1 adapted volume 1-3, volume 6 of the light novel came out January 20 2023
but it does feel like they rushed volume 3, which was the last 3 eps so they could end the season with a nice conclusion cause they don't intend to do a s2, hope I'm wrong

Diomedéa is not known for making second seasons. Other animes I've seen made by this animation studio were also rushed the last few episodes

I think you only proved their point. the fact that you only have maybe 3 examples you could choose from should make it obvious they are not a sequel making studio. diomedea is probably one of the first studios I think of for never adapting a story fully/always ending after 1 season.

I didn’t say that it’s the ONLY studio that NOT make second seasons.
I only said it’s A studio that doesn’t USUALLY make second seasons.
Anyway, it was just a personal opinion. I didn’t want to mess with anyone.

I mean I would assume since you're on this site I thought you could read. they previously said diomedea is not known for making sequels, you then pointed to one of the 2 sequels they made so their point was proven. no one was bringing up other companies, just stating that they never make sequels.

This discussions keeps always coming up... Studios not doing Sequels is an old/outdated preconception that started with Madhouse (if I'm remember right), because at first glance they had a lot of Anime without sequels and than suddenly out of the blue came Ippo and other animes that debunked that.

Studios don't have any say in sequels, they are a contracted service (or whatever you call it). If a Production Committee (the ones who call the shots) wants a sequel, it will have a sequel and if the budget is enough to contract the same Studio (if that Studio isn't booked) they usually ask the same Studio to adapt it.

It's true that at the end of the day, If the studio sees enough money from a franchise then they might make a sequel. However often sequels can get messed up if they start changing the contents for the sake of wrapping something up. Of course the studio can always push through a messed up end or if it's popular enough, reboot it. Reminds me of Yugiyoh with the season 0 verses season 1 which started later in the show but also rewrote some things.

The way a season ends often can serve as a good indicator of whether or not it will continue. If it's faithful then it's easy to pick up, but if the studio starts changing things, with the exception of spin-offs, shows start to loose their appeal for a new season to be developed bc you can no longer just copy someone else's homework.

But again, nothing is ever set in stone. If there is enough desire for more, Studios will make it work one way or another.

well least this is good to hear that where the anime ended wasnt the end now i feel less annoyed about how it ended especially thinking it was the end of the series as a whole

so now i can only hope this series could get a season 2 or just end up waiting from more from the manga and get to the LN at some point

but yeah now i feel much better knowing the anime end wasnt the end for the series

Finished it today and had a strong feeling of "WATCH THE ANIME, NOW BUY THE NOVEL" kind of project. Sadly.

At least it was not WILD like a certain manhwa that finished after some arc and literally the author just wrote "Thank you all, now the adventures will keep going in the novels! Check it out there!" lol
