Saw this one was tagged Romance and wanted to ask (as spoiler-free as possible) what/how much to expect. With harems you just never know.

e.g. Any relationship(s) that develop, or is it more along the lines of all the girls smitten by the MC but nothing developing from it?

I think multiple girls at least shoot their shot by confessing to him.

I'm not super confident in the above though. I'm afraid I might have mixed this show up with another one.

I think it's pretty good but it's my biased opinion because it's one of my very first animes

as for the romance i'd say it's decent and cliche like you'd expect from a harem , but i find it interesting anyways. (although I want give one small spoiler but I'll refrain)

Well, the mc does get into a romantic relationship with all of the girls, yes.

However, even though they do get into relationships, it wasn’t exactly good romance. It’s pretty shallow and not very fleshed out, so don’t expect too much in that regard.

Nonetheless, it’s still pretty entertaining to see an mc with the balls to have an ACTUAL harem, instead of that fake, “almost harem” stuff that you see in a lot of isekai and fantasy anime. If you’re gonna make a trashy power fantasy, then you’ve gotta commit to it. And this series really commits to it, imo. It’s just dumb fun 🤷🏽‍♂️

This is a show in where the girls like the main character. The main character is super dense so he has no idea. The girls know he is super dense but refuse to tell him how they feel. Main character gets constantly "abused” verbally for being dense but they still won’t confess to him. There is some romantic interaction at the end of the show.

They develop their relationship from strangers, co-workers, friends to more over the episodes.

And it is not boring who like enjoyable anime with a story.

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

there is indeed development and eventually culmination of it. so don't worry about him just leading them on since it will work out. the romance is okay, but every female harem member has definite roles in the story and their own "unique" stories, so it's not as cookie cutter as it may look

Romance, what the heck NO! it might be too much for it (if one expects too much quality like the top ones or middle one too).
This anime is good but childish I love watch it and love it in its own way but it would be too expecting to expect a good romance from it. Moreover it is a harem and MC wants to give equal importance to all

This show is mildly entertaining but doesn’t deserve a romance label. Touyo walks into the room with an intellectual bucket on his head, every girl immediately falls in love with him and agrees to marry him. There is no development or emotion. He could basically click the girls out of a pen dispenser for all the effort that goes into it.

Francesca is the most interesting character in terms of her relationship with Touyo and that’s just because she goes out of her way to shock and mess with him.

Again the show is mildly entertaining but it’s phoning in the harem and so far nothing Id call romance is occurring.
