Oh my god.. I finished the anime within 1 day, and I liked it..but that doesn't mean I am satisfied. It got messy and shitty after the 8th episode.. Its downfall started right after the cast reached the village and talked about Tensen. But it felt obvious after the 8th episode (Episode 8 was the peak of this anime for me). The first problem I felt was its narration and the way it explains things. The narrator keeps on saying common knowledge and for some reason, those 2 guys that came to take Mei started giving information without no reason almost as if they want to help Gabimaru. The second big problem was its power scaling. How tf did Gabimaru become so strong in episode 9 when fighting that Tensen? He was struggling to fight a big human 10 hours ago but now can keep up with a god. And why is every character getting so many buffs within hours (That kid, Shion, Sagiri, etc)? It gets a bit messy and felt rushed.

I am not even including the unnecessary sex = strength plot. I loved the twist at the end, other than that it was disappointing. It may feel like I am ranting and acting like a hater but really I enjoyed the show but not as much as I thought I  would when I was halfway through the anime. It went from 9/10 to 6-7/10 very quickly..Anyway, I just wanted to know if I am feeling what I should or just need to be educated to understand the anime.

Tensen are not a god, and gamibaru and other already strong but just don't know that aura existed and how to use it.

the end of the show definitely got a bit weird. my complaints are that gabimaru just instantly understood the concept of tao after an out of nowhere explanation from the samurai and holding mei hand, the memory loss was a bit random to me as well.ill excuse sagiri and the master being able to use tao cause they already had previous experience with it and didn't instantly use it flawlessly. but the show definitely got a bit worse as it went on

As i see it (Didnt read the manga my view only) gabi used jitsu before so he had a traning that is not the same but close to a tao user and the memory loss can be out of extreme exhaustion combined with few other factots.

I expected more from this show it wasnt bad but it wasnt as good as my friends told me would be.

My feelings are almost the opposite but not quite. Really liked the show right off the bat, that gradually my interest started to wane as its freshness wore off, but it really won me back with the last few episodes. I just really like the idea of all these really strong characters essentially knowing the power system already (to a degree) but having a different framework for understanding it. Like they didn't know it as what it's called here, but everyone's abilities kinda come from the same root thing. Idk I found it really cool and different. In the end it's not one of my favorite seasons of recent memory, but it's a strong 7 or 8.

all the characters already used to have Tao. like gabimaru's fire, konochi's water jutsu and sagiri's fight against that giant prisoner. it was not huge buffs they already used to have Tao and they improved it.

He wasn’t as strong then because he didn’t know tao, thats why he lost the fight, he’s still an incredibly strong ninja thats why everyone knows him, he’s an iwagakure.

I wouldn’t say he struggled against the giant but lets say he did, its still a completely different fight, a tensen, although strong can still take hits and is relatively the same size as gabi whereas he giant has impenetrable skin. And he was able to fight the bug guys cus a) they werent even rly that strong, b) he had help and c) he learnt tao.

Well yeah....you enjoyed it, but you're a bit prude and nitpicky, when it comes to very specific scenes. So what?^^ You like what you like

Moving on

I am completely agree with you, in just one episode he became strong and now he is equal to tensen, and so many things and too much explanation and i feel like things got rushed way too much. I liked it but it's 7/10 for me as well.
