Depending on where you look, they are considered the same season but split into two parts and if you look at the dates there were only 6 months in between, which is the amount that is almost always given when a season is split into two parts.

I heard that the singer who produced the first two openings got sick or something and because of that he couldn't make a new opening. And out of respect to him, they used the same opening again.

It's a usual thing animes that have 2 parts have 1 opening for each part. They were just lazy to create another opening song
Even the opening visuals weren't complete until ep 4, you can see that they changed things 😭

The first season had the same opening in its 24~ episodes. To Your Eternity had the same opening in its first season of 24~ episodes and also in its second season of 12. It's obviously lazy or budget saving, but it's not that weird, especially since this same anime did it before.

But did those animes that you mentioned released the 24 episodes together? Or there was a break between?

wait do you guys realise that they changed the last verse? The first one used "anata no ryouho wo" and this part uses "anata wo zetsubou wo"
I get its the same song but atleast its slightly different. I really like this one anyway so might be that

This isnt rare at all, and tbh the opening is still a banger and they did change the visuals.
Lets cut them some slack tbh.
The ending song is changed which is a plus and a banger!

@Gui_silva23 lazy to create another opening song c'mon the anime studio isn't the one who creates opening songs, also it wasn't complete because there was a special event for the anime just 4 days before season 3 was produced and in the event, the first 3 episodes were produced and previewed earlier for the people who attended the event (basically early access to watching the first 3 episodes) and thus used different scenes and animation for the opening

Nothing bad. Same as was with Fumetsu no Anata e, they used one OP in two seasons with different video sequence in the second season.

I love it that way!!!! For a long time, I hated it to see great ops beeing replaced by some (bad) others ( like in Dr Stone, Food wars and others...)...And the Op of season 2 ist simply perfect so I love it <3
