| A promise is a promise. Kitsan seemed like the type of girl who would keep one so she makes good on her promise this episode. As usual, the epsiode had positive energy, fueled by the cheers and determination of these stars. I give praise to Kitsan for her determination again and always giving her best no matter what. |

| I was thinking this will either be a draw which it nearly was or Cheval will win but she didn't finish close to the others i guess that means more competition next time. It was nice seeing the girls practice to beat each other tho. |
| I've always wondered why is the 馬 (horse) in 有馬記念 (arima kinen) only has 2 lines in the bottom in the game. Then when I finally googled it the other day it turned out to be a really cool small detail: the lines were originally supposed to represent the horse's legs when the character was created, but in this world horses don't exist, and the ones that do only have two legs. Genius. (In all other instances where 馬 (horse) character appears in words in Uma Musume it's replaced with katakana, so 馬場 (baba lit. horse place) - "horse racetrack" becomes バ場 and the in title itself ,ウマ娘 (uma musume lit. horse girl), 馬 (uma) is written as ウマ. I guess they kept the character in the name of Arima Kinen because of rights ans stuff) Vivlos and Verxina appear to be new in the franchise. This is cool! Now after playing the game I've realized that the training scenes in the OP are references to the training scenes in the game. Didn't know you can run in Arima Kinen more than once. I'm learning! 9:51 Would've been funny if she said この足で "with these legs" here instead lol I'm with the two guys in the crowd, I was rooting for both of them. Had chills during the race again. Noooo they didn't show the winning live! But I love the ED so I'm not complaining. They're saving it for the last episode. There is gonna be some drama it seems. Kita and Dia's relationship is changing because they're truly rivals now. But I'm sure it's all gonna turn out wholesome. I'm enjoying this so much and gonna be so sad when this ends. |

| Seeing Kitasan and Teio interact always makes me happy. Kitasan and Diamond, chosen in the special fan vote. The two were deeply moved by the memorial race featuring Tokei Teio that they witnessed in their childhood, and they promised to someday run together in such a grand race. With strong emotions in their hearts, the gates of destiny's race swing open. Been playing the game recently and I anticipated a conclusion similar to the in-game support card post-race, featuring a specific camera angle. However, they simply ran through the finish line without any slowed-down finish or other elements. |

| This episode did start in good spirits as Kitasan Black got her 3rd G1 victory. Not only that, but it was nice to hear that Satono Crown also got her maiden G1 victory as well in Hong Kong, which you can see how proud she was about it when talking about it with Diamond. Cheval also got a bit of focus in this episode, as she was continuously getting frustrated with her results while hanging out with Vivlos and Verxina. As for Sounds of the Earth, she's simply happy to race regardless of where she places, which continues to make her an amusingly eccentric character to watch. =) The main race was at the Arima Kinen once more, where the finish was a very close one, but Satono Diamond pipped Kitasan Black by a fraction at the finish line. Her resolute determination to win this race was to come true after all in a closely fought battle. However, I won't deny that I wanted Kitasan Black to win it more, which made me sympathise with her more. While she still has more G1 victories compared to Diamond, by the way she implied, I don't think Kitasan has ever won head-to-head against Diamond, commenting that she's seeing her back once more at the end. Her expression on the stage lift before the live performance, which sadly got shafted yet again, says it all. I do hope the pair will race against each other again soon, where if that does indeed happen, I hope Kitasan Black will be victorious then. |
| I know everyone was focused on Kitasan and Diamond in the race, but I was secretly hoping for All Haiyu to snatch it from them lol, would’ve been great, but she’s but a side character in this horse girl world, even when the three of them were heading up to do their winning live she was just silent as Kitasan and Diamond talked lol, she knows her place I guess. And the race was pretty good, I honestly didn’t know who would win it but Diamond makes sense, this ended up leaving Kitasan kinda salty tho which is expected. And speaking of Kitasan being salty, this kinda made me realize how the winning live is kinda messed up, you have 2nd and 3rd place girls in the concert too and they could be really upset about the loss but they gotta sing and dance anyway, the show must go on lol. And poor Cheval didn’t win after we got some focus on her, I imagine we’ll get more soon tho. And I did like having a scene with Teio, but this also kinda made me wish we could see Teio racing some, I know we saw her story but her being present in Season 3 has me wondering what she’s doing now lol, it’s a true mystery. And lastly, this is just something that kinda bugged me, but they mentioned the Arima Kinen was in December but then showed a very lush green background, little things like that take me out of it a bit lol. |

| Kitasan Black has finally hit her stride to win back-to-back G1 cups, and the Arima Kinen is next. One of the biggest rivals of Kitasan via Cheval Grand, together with her sisters of Vivlos and Verxina, they're all aiming for G1 wins as well. Kitasan is absolutely pumped for the Arima Kinen, though Tokai Teio was the driving force for both her and Satono Diamond. But just as the advice that Tokai went through herself, I hope that Kitasan is not pushing herself in beating her best friend as well. D-Day has arrived, and the much-anticipated last race of the year, the Arima Kinen, sees fierce competition between the 2 horse girls in their respective classes and the usual ones tryig to catch up to the both of them. Within a flash, Satono Diamond makes a hair's finish just above Kitasan Black, and gets their usual idol reward to knock out the rest of the year. Great work to both friends, and congratulations to Dia-chan. |

| Another amazing episode as always. I love Kita, but she deserved to lose, she was really unfocused this entire episode, while Dia was always working hard to prove she is the best. For us players of the game, this race was spoiled hard when the 1st SSR cards for Kita and Dia dropped, since it's the same race and Dia wins.  Even if I knew how this was going to end, it was hype as fuck, as every other race in this anime! Oh, and the new umas, Verxina and Vivlos, are so nice and cute! They just were introduced and I already like them way more than Cheval Grand tbh, can't wait to see them in the game. PD: we still don't know if it is canon or not, but in my heart Aston Machan is part of Spica ❤️  PD2: I've been thinking about this since S2, but it's official now, this guy is literally me.  |

| @StallionXD For real, it's hilarious Aston appears anytime with them with she gets screentime. I think that's what really makes this series stand out, so many things going in the background, you can really tell they have fun with it. |

Aston Machan was a horse (mare) that "really loved to pose to the cameras", people knew her for that, so that's why in UmaMusu they made her character "always look at the camera" as a joke, no matter the situation, she will always be looking at (or appear on) the camera lol In the game she wants to become the URA mascot so she can always be on camera, it's really silly and cute. |

| Another great race that is kind of hindered for me by looking completely like shit. The only idea the animators have for these races is the following: slow build-up with a crowd of bad CG horse girls on the track, then a shot of someone digging their foot in to gain speed, then multiple named characters pushing forward with particle effects around them, then alternating close-ups of them screaming until someone wins. It just looks like shit every single time and is, as I've said before, a massive step back from what Road to the Top showed us was possible. Come on CyGames, use some of those gacha millions to make this anime not look like shit in its most important scenes. |

| It was pretty obvious that Kitasan wasn't going to win it since the mood around her camp was too good lol. It was a close race, but maybe Kitasan would've won it if she were locked in like Diamond did for this race. |

| SECOND Arima Kinen already, only HALFWAY through the season. Full steam ahead I guess. Ok but what is that 20-second Japan Cup at the beginning. She wins, the end. I guess it's better than the slide-show ED Tenno Sho; but still. If you go and watch Cinderella Gray, (which you should if you are even just remotely enjoying this season) just compare that absolute cinema of a Japan Cup to this one, whatever this was. Maybe making substantial races is not the focus of season 3, but rather to blitz through Kitasan Black's entire career. If so, fine. Just wish the races meant something more than just boxes to check off which is what they feel like here. Anyway yeah Satano Diamond wins the Arima Kinen with Kitasan Black just a hair's breadth away. Good for her that she won, or else she'd have lost hella aura after saying "I'm going to win" with that stone-cold face and leaving Kitasan hanging with her fist bump. |
