| I remember how it was about Tomozaki getting better. S1 was way better, because Yomozaki getting into shape was very captivating. Now it looks like his arc has ended, he has been sidelined as some sort of mentor or some shit and this whole class drama arc is straight up tedious and boring. Putting on hold for now and will see opinions if it patience would be rewarded. |

| yes, i like the story. If you dont like it drop it, you can also write a review, its not necessary to throw a fit in the forums. Plus the theme of the story has always been the same, both on s1 and s2. Plus weird you even started watching the show since the setting was always in high school, with high schoolers lol. |

| I'm enjoying this a lot, but I can see where it falls short. The whole first season was about Tomozaki learning how to socialize, and now you want to see him use what he's learned. The sports festival mission delivers on that, but the bullying arc puts a stop to it and turns Tomozaki into a background character in his own show. @Animaticide Rewriting the bully arc with JRPG gamer flavor. Oh no! Demon Queen (Erika) is attacking the town! Hero (Tama) tried to defend against her, but was too weak and was forced to escape. Now while being hunted by DQ, Hero needs to: Recruit party members (Tomozaki and others) Grind for experience (become more popular) Petition the Queen and the other towns for aid (have Aoi convince all the other dumbasses) Get the Legendary Weapons that defeated DQ in the past (Chad and his girlfriend) |

| This isn't a gaming focused show like Shangri-La Frontier. This is a school based drama and romance story. While it has comedy from the situations Tomozaki ends up in due to his quest for personal growth, it isn't even listed as part of its genres because it comes in third behind the drama and romance of the story. I'm not sure how you watched the 1st season and expected the things you list on your post and not what it always was. If you don't like the first 5 episodes because they aren't as interesting as the arcs from the 1st season thus far I would agree with you there, but you sound like you genuinely hate the show for being different than what it is. It was never a "Smash Bros anime". Smash Bros is an important piece of the story but it is rarely the focus. It certainly won't become the focus this season. If they make a third season it will actually be a major focus at that point but even then it remains a vehicle for character growth and development. This show isn't about Tomozaki becoming the greatest Smash player ever so why would it focus so much on the gaming aspect of the series? He's already the top ranked player in Smash, outside of it connecting him closely to Hinami, and more loosely to other classmates, there is no need to focus on the gaming aspect outside of that. Be prepared for more teen drama bullshit as the next arc is a school festival that Tomozaki plays a major part in. Aside from some side quest stuff in it I think it is much more interesting than the 2 volumes they finished over these 5 episodes, which are probably the weakest of the entire light novel, but the focus of that arc will be more romance, drama, and some comedy mixed in. In my opinion the 2nd half of the season will be much more interesting over all, but that assumes you want to watch a well written character drama and not a purely gaming focused show. |
| S2 has just been boring so far(watching at 1x speed). Very very dragging drama and teaching us lessons I dont agree with like "toughen it up, even if you are bullied". |
