Do you find it weird that when Tokyo Mew Mew got a remake, Ichigo was in high school?

Aside from Pudding, all the girls are in high school. I find this weird, because in the beginning of Sailor Moon Crystal, the girls are in middle school just like the original series and they're still in middle school for the first 3 arcs. I wonder why they decided to age up Ichigo, Mint, Lettuce, and Zakuro to high schoolers (Japan has high school as 10th to 12th grade)

It is a bit strange, especially considering Zakuro is the only one who looked her age in both series. If they were gonna jump them up, they should have tried harder to give the other three a modified appearance.

i mean it's not that weird cause in sailor moon you gotta look at the timeline. each arc in sailor moon took place over one semester of sailor moon. that means that seasons 1 through three would take place over a year and a half give or take. that would put seasons 4 and 5 into their first year of high school and both arcs taking one semester per enemy. so it goes to say that it's possible that the Tokyo mew mew series could of only taken span over one school year.
