| Man what an anime, this truly had it all from exciting action packed scenes to slow easy slice of life moments, this anime has one of the most lovable cast of characters that are all unique in their own ways from the most insignificant civilian in a random village the main cast visited to the great mage Serie. I am glad that I experienced this anime and I have high hopes for the next season, truly one of THE anime of all time and I can't recommend it enough for all types of anime viewers. |

| This episode was mostly reflection, Fern getting her 1st class mage spell (a laundry one, much to Serie's disgust), Frieren being banned from all Magic Association functions and facilities (because Serie is the oldest child), Lernen trying to kill Frieren, and a lot of goodbyes. Of course, Denken passed, Ubel passed, and even Land passed, who wasn't even there the entire time. The end of the episode was actually a bit emotional. But the story will continue. Beautiful end to season 1! |

| this show really is wonderful. ive rated it a 9 but i think mal's 9.29 is still too high of an average. i bet many just rated 10 without thinking much. i looked at the date for e1s2 wrong and started this rewatch a bit early :P see you next season |

| Yeah nah sorry this is a 5/10 for me. Everything of substance this show had to offer was said on episode 1. From there it had nothing to offer other than empty action and "cutesy fanservice". It using the theme of "life is beautiful in small moments and simple things" isn't an excuse for the story be aimless. Action doesn't work no matter how great animated it is if you never feel any tension. Soundtrack being gorgeous doesn't fully work because 80% of the time it doesn't fit the tone of the scene (it mostly over exaggerates) If I had to suggest better works that achieve what this show tries to do: Violet Evergarden, Vinland Saga, Monster and Cowboy Bepop (Those last two are episodic shows that analyze an aspect about humanity in a much better way) |

| I love that Fern chose a legendary level cleaning spell for her privilege. Of all the things she could have picked, that felt perfectly in character for her as Frieren's apprentice. Overall, this was a really good series and I am genuinely looking forward to season 2. |
