Emilia has been reduced to Damsel in Distress
And like any perfect DiD she acts like a caged bird and calls the name of her hero. She's a powerful witch but she just sits there in bed clutching the sheet against her chest. How sweet. UGH
These sin archbishops are so over the top and cartoony.
And this anime wants the audience to sympathize for SUBARU as the one who will face them down. No, he's a pathetic chud, seeing how uselessly he flails around and shrieks and can't accomplish anything against anyone. You don't watch this wondering how he'll prevail. I just wish he'd perish permanently.

| @SuperAdventure you're missing the entire premise of the series then. It's always about Subaru figuring out how to best go through a seemingly impossible situation with limited resources at hand. He doesn't even have all the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle of this arc yet with every shit going down one after the other. It's all about the utilization of his numerous allies against ALL the archbishops present this time (as shown in the ED) |

It's always about Subaru figuring out how to best go through a seemingly impossible situation with limited resources at hand.
He doesn't even have all the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle of this arc yet with every shit going down one after the other. It's all about the utilization of his numerous allies against ALL the archbishops present this time (as shown in the ED)

| @FragmantLemon I don't miss the point of the series, I just hate the main character but love all the others which is the main reason keeping me watching this. | @FragmantLemon It's not about him needing to be physically powerful. It's about him NOT being strong from a personal standpoint. He is not interesting, confident, capable, thoughtful, useful, or inspiring. NOTHING about him is INSPIRING. Nothing! Why would I want to watch a show about someone this pathetic? (I am... because of everyone else in the show)... He spends most of the series either acting like a panicked lunatic, or a total asshole (while also freaking out like a lunatic). It is perfectly fine for anyone to see through his pathetic facade as maybe a better character, but this sort of character doesn't work for me. I mean, the kid runs around in a damn tracksuit. A tracksuit. That says: "I'm a dork that lives with my mom in a public housing estate" NOT a cool and confident citizen of this world. How long has he been here? A few years? He still seems like he doesn't belong, even though- incredibly- all these people clearly consider him to belong. I can't stand him, and think he doesn't deserve the rest of the characters in the show. |

| Emilia is just so pure in this world. This Capella chick is just crazy, just like that Sirius, but then again, the entire Sin Archbishops is filled with crazy people. Subaru has it rough—I doubt he'll survive, as it's just impossible to heal him now. |

Really liked the directing here from the moment Subaru opened the door. The camera swaps between him and the flies back and forth, the music, all on point! |

| Another great episode, as expected. Plot is carrying along well, but the shock of Subaru losing a limb and not immediately dying and reseting is kinda bewildering. What will he do without that leg? Are they just gonna kill him later on? Will he regrow it or get a prosthetic? So many questions... |
| Save the city AND Emilia's virginity lol but that aside the situation is extremely tense, Capella is SO annoying, I hope she gets neutralized fast |

| Subaru's "knight" speech was weird. The resolve of the people in the city? What respöve? Their city was turned into a battleground, not much they can do about it. He SAW how bad it was, and Anastasia mentioneed it again with "some shelters already being lost". Especially with both Lust and Wrath stirring things up even further there's no point blaming anyone, but talking about their resolve is a joke. Of course one shouldn't simply write the miniroty off "eh, some may die, it's like it is", but denying the reality that there will be deaths is just as bad both from a strategical point of view and absoutely disrespectful against those that do die and their families and friends. The resolve of lack of of the citizens does NOTHING in the face of what they are up against. Someone cuts your head off, but you steeled yourself and resolved not to die, so it's fine? Of course, they might do an asspull like "we didn't know, but if you move the remains of the witch in just the right way, the remains of the witch expels those that cause the city harm and casts mass revive over the complete city area" or something. Or Subaru RBD a million times to figure out that one set of actions where everyone survives. Didn't work out for either Okarin nor Dr. Strange, but sure, he can try.. Oh, and "destroy the city when moved" is not the same "can't physically be moved". I doubt that the archbishops will accept such an excuse. And I don't think you can fool them all. If needed, they'll simply remove the city themselves if they can't get to the remains otherwise. If it would really be physcially impossible, they could simply lead the archbishops to the remains and show them/let them try. Would make things easier. Telling your allies wrong and/or contradicting information abotu the few things you do have a clear picture of is nor really helpful. Also a bit weird, first they grill Subaru on his priorities. I think he could have chosen Emilia, just because it's your highest priority doesn't mean you can't do other things, especially if they are related, like maybe someone knows where she is, so getting the city into order or the "metia" under control would help a lot. But he played it save by telling them it's the city. And then a couple of minutes later Al peels off because he has to help another princess and everyone is like "of couse, a princess knights no 1 priority is their princess, nothing to see here". ???? Besides that there's some nice things. Lusts design and behaviour, and of course the voice acting sells it. For now I like her more than the others. They feel a bit one dimensiional, at least her abilities and her trickery spicen it up. Also like that the princesses are rejecting the role of damsel in distress and instead take action. Let's see how far Emilia makes it. |

| Cinema episode. Pacing felt really good with the build up after build up and seeing all the archbishops in action as well as other parties trying to plan around the ever changing situation. God the hype for Reinhard to finally join the fight was driving me nuts as well lol, don't think we've really seen him go all out properly before so i'm really interested to see if all the hype means he's that much of a game changer. Fuck that 1 year of 0 deaths and easy goings really just hit Subaru all at once in a day like a freight train, brother was actually begging to die from how well Capella tore him down. So these are the true colors of Capella Emerada Lugunica huh, and just like that I instantly folded 4 times like daily laundry. What a insane and bratty character lmao, I really love how all the Archbishops are so incredibly unique and different in just about everything from one another thus making each so rememberable. Capella is actually going to be a character for the centaury for me, Aoi Yuuki's performance and the insane poses and angles they gave Capella literally embodies the, "One man's "she belongs in a mental institute" is another man's "she's all I've ever wanted". For me, Petelgeuse wins the award for most unsettling visual design and character still, but Capella is definitely up there in her own way. Her mental game is a league of it's own, while Petelgeuse's erratic and insane movement's always creeped me, Capella's ability to turn people into human sized flies or shapeshift into a loved one and then defile their image is a whole separate level of mental torment. Genuinely some of the most creatively nerve wrecking craftsman ship of the archbishops i've seen yet, I wouldn't be surprised if she were to be the one that invent and brings to this world the idea of a human centipede or a Tusk JUST from her own twisted imagination. |

| I think it's actually better if Subaru doesn't survive this tide. But he returns to such a bad point. There's hardly any time to make preparations. Why is Emilia so meek? Why isn't she trying to run away? |
