| lol Zen does a good impression of his uncle. "First one to speak loses" - just like buying a car! XP Shorter chapter but thankfully little stalling. We get another mystery poison plot! The conditions Jiran set for Shirayuki and Tariga to pass the test seem random. "They can only enter the medicine room in the morning once every two days" This mission is confidential to the point where Kiki and Mitsuhide wonder why they have to be there if they're just going to sit around and drink tea. Time limit not given this chapter and they have to cooperate. If I understand correctly, if Shirayuki passes, she'll be under the house Jiran which will allow her to be recognized by the citizens (Wilant? And Clarines?) as someone worthy to be by Zen's side. Here's hoping Zen's uncle is a "cold on the outside but cares on the inside" kind of guy and is secretly lending his nephew a hand. |

| what i like about this change is how it finally puts shirayuki’s growth to the test. she has built connections, proven her abilities, and learned how to stand on her own. now it feels like everything she has done is leading up to this challenge. i am also hoping this arc reveals more about the royal family and the world beyond what we have seen so far. |
