Whats your favourite original production and why?

While there is just nothing like SEL, i cant decide between SEL and Paranoia agent.
I'll just give them joint 1st.

SEL:
Ahead of its time depiction of the interent and general unmatched atmosphere and ambience. Ambiguous story telling always hits like crack. Its a whole aesthetic and its more like a work of art than just some anime to me.

Paranoia Agent:
A through and through masterpiece, Satoshi Kons magnum opus- the social commentary is absolutely perfect and everything that anime stands for is right up my alley from the old school animation to the 0 hand hold story telling.

Honorable mention:
Sonny boy for its creativity, incredible visuals & perfect use of rotoscoping. While coming of age stories are extremely common this one is just breathtaking.

my favourite of all time has to be paranoia agent, but some solid ones are also psycho-pass and evangelion because i big boys

@somni I enjoy a wide variety of old anime, mainly because they transport me back to the time of my youth. Well, I’m not old (not yet, haha). I hope to reach 90, and I’m sure I’ll still be watching anime and reading good books and manga. Well, Lain is my top favorite. But in second place, I love Akira, Witch Hunter Robin, Texhnolyze, Haibane Renmei, among many others.
