The final theory about Lain in Serial Experiments Lain is quite complex and open to interpretation. However, one of the most popular interpretations is that Lain becomes an omnipresent entity in Wired, essentially becoming a digital goddess.

I just recently watched it, and that was the idea that I got from it. Most of the show probably went over my head tho. Mainly like it bc computers.

@somni <3 It's true, I think so too. But initially the anime presents us with different nuances about the character. There are so many psychological versions of Lain herself, that at some point the viewer is confused if they don't pay due attention. Everything in this anime is symbolic, including the very fabric of reality. The anime makes us question if in fact, we are all not a single being, the very unity of the Divine. And at the end of the serie, this message is true for most religions and philosophies in our world, including Buddhism, where the anime seems to have leaned over and drunk a lot from this idea. yes.

@GR2F I think you may remember the alien episode, where the anime seems to want to show us, in a somewhat symbolic way, a nature that is within us when it comes to the loneliness felt by the character and her total disconnection from society and, ultimately, from her own reality. It's not for nothing that this anime has inspired many great American film directors.
