This project was a big ask and did not get the right people behind it. I will speak as someone who read the webtoon and I enjoyed that as a binge through the seasons. It is annoying what they were doing with this season, and jokes on anime only people but the train takes up half of the second season of the webtoon. In my opinion, the train half is what upgrades this season, and now I am sad the anime is stuck in purgatory without that getting animated. At least they touched up a little on these final episodes for the Workshop Battle but it still felt like a project without a proper plan.

Well the ride is finally over, I had fun throughout this season seeing some of my favorite scenes animated. Although it wasn’t always the best, I really love these characters so I pushed through. The gang is back together I can’t wait to see how the next season goes, but I hope it doesn’t take long to see their journey continue.

Cute date for the finale.
Endorsi is so hot, god dayum...

Overall I'm disappointed with season 2 quality, we wait for so long and we got a downgrade from season 1 😭

5/10 just for our boy Kevin Penkin carrying this season with amazing OST.

Maybe I'll just go and read the webtoon, probably not worth waiting for the next season whenever that will be.

It was able to make up for it's failings in part 1 of season 2, and was able to conclude this season without causing a major blowout.

So if anyone watching part 1 of season 2 is having second thoughts, part 2 will make up for it with a much satisfying animation and conclusion.

This battle may be over, but there’s more work to do.

And finally, Endorsi was able to go on her date with Bam, but Bam clearly doesn’t get anything about romance. So it seems that Bam’s group will have to get stronger and get on board the Hell Train and there’s no guarantee that they’ll make it to the other side alive.

I wonder how the dynamics will change in Season 3…

Was an ok sequel, nothing special not something especially bad, looks like fast food, tastes like lukewarm fast food.
It's still a shame that they changed the animation style, that way the atmosphere changed from mistery fantasy setting to cartoon shounen setting gameshow.
Story nevertheless was quite all right with the characters and all.

I'm actually quite pleased with the second part of season 2. Yes, the animation was inconsistent and quite poor most of the time, but the story, characters, music and OST really made this season much better for me. I'll always be grateful that the manhwa got adapted, cause there are a lot of shows that deserve second, even a third season that don't get animated, So I appreciate this anime. Hopefully, if another season comes out, it'll be more about climbing the tower with friends. Really looking forward to it (with improved animation ofc). W season W anime!!!🔥🔥🙌🐐🤩✅️

Everyone makes it out alive in the end, but not without scars. The appearance of the FUG Rankers shook everything, only for them to retreat due to the intervention of one of the Ten Great Family heads—Po Bidau Gustang. His presence, preceding the Workshop Battle, ensured some level of fairness with sanctions imposed.

Wangnan has fully recovered, physically at least. But emotionally, this is where paths start to diverge. The group begins to part ways, some heading toward new trials—most notably, the Hell Train.

Ha Jinsung’s warning to Karaka about targeting Viole hit hard. There’s a weight in those words, a heavy consequence for actions that crossed lines.

Viole (Bam) and Endorsi’s little "date" is hilariously and awkwardly tailed by Rak, Yihwa, and Prince—keeping that signature mix of comedy and tension alive. Meanwhile, Khun reconnects with Novick and Ran, focused on finding Rachel and her team. There’s vengeance in his heart—for what they did to someone he cared about deeply. That part resonated with me a lot.

Even though the bet is over, Bam continues to struggle with self-worth, unsure if he’s strong enough to face the future. Endorsi calls him out on that, pushing him to face Rachel—though Bam remains charmingly clueless about romance, even after a surprise kiss on the cheek from her. That moment hit with quiet emotional weight.

On the sadder side, Horyang doesn’t awaken. Cassano has taken his other wing, and honestly, that part felt devastating. The reveal that Cassano is stronger than even Bam or Beta really raises the stakes. Left with few options, they turn to Hwaryun—ever the mysterious guide—who sends them toward the Hell Train on the 35th Floor, a new chapter waiting. Bam cuts his long hair, symbolizing the start of this next journey. It’s small, but significant.

And so, Season 2 of Tower of God—with the Return of the King and Workshop Battle arcs—comes to an end. It wasn’t perfect, but it was engaging. The story grew darker, more personal, and the supporting characters really shone. Rak’s energy, Endorsi’s fire, Yihwa’s passion, and Hwaryun’s enigmatic wisdom added richness throughout.

My Score: 7/10 on MAL (with an extra point for strong supporting characters like Rak, Endorsi, Yihwa, and Hwaryun)
Finished on: 13th July 2025 at 23:22 Hrs IST.

Okay final episode thanks to Endorsi, but this season was a mess, starting from animation, but also to unexplained plot and betrayals. So many characters switched alignment, so why bother following the plot?
One gets stabbed in his heart and he's fine. Another gets his legs completely destroyed and he's back walking (and running) in a few days.

I don't know if I'll return for a third season, if it ever will be one.
I really hope for an animation studio change, that would save the show.

4/10 for the second half of S2 too.

The date with Endorsi was sweet. Everything else was just hints that something is happening in the background which we wont be shown, which I find very stupid. This applies to the second season as a whole, it seemed as a lot of stuff was happening in the back ground, but we were just shown some drama about nobodies' tragic pasts which I couldn't care less about.

Being anime only, I can't really tell if this was just garbage adaptation which failed to capture the important bits or if the original source is playing coy like that as well. The constant teasing of these big behind the scenes characters and organizations making moves, while we get to watch the kids running around doing nothing got under my skin.

What happened to all of the concepts introduced in the first season? Lero Ro during his test said that on floors 30 and above you had to always endure the concentration of Shinsu greater than the wall that he created at the time. This second season we are at level 30 yet none of that is shown. It feels like the show dropped all of the world building concepts for some stupid drama and simplified shooting lazers type of combat. Honestly I'm utterly disappointed in the downgrade and this is not even mentioning how bad the animation quality was.
