I think they are wasting too much potential with this anime. I was waiting for those amazing battles, but it was mostly talk.

The confrontation between the Miburo and the Blood Risshidan has finally begun with Kamo vs. Naozumi, and the other members filling in with their individually group efforts against people they actually know and hung out with, facing levels of feud that the current day and age of the samurai only exist to be a shame for those who went after them doing needless killings, as such with the case of the Hound wanting revenge against samurai.

Shinpachi may have been resilient for the Hound to take his head, but Sanosuke won't relent, and his jokes that come after sure paint his personality at that. And through Shinpachi describing the new youngsters of Miburo to the old man, they may have put a trade for him, but the cliffhanger was just brutal.

There's no way for Talk no Jutsu in this fight, just endless killing.

Shinpachi's grandkids would rather know about his comrades than himself.

Serizawa, Nio, Taro, Kondo, and Sakura head to Kyohachi Dojo where Yotaro and Nagi are.

Serizawa is matched up with the similar Naozumi. Naozumi uses a sword Sakura's master forged.
The differences emerge; Serizawa doesn't care for Naozumi's political questions. To Serizawa, he and the Miburo define justice.

Sanosuke and Shinpachi are among those without katana and have to make do with wakizashi. Sanosuke took the kids' coin W
They encounter the old man they met gambling. If it weren't for their allegiances, they'd be good friends.
He wants revenge on samurai in general because they oppress the weak, murdered his son and grandson. Yet he sided with the man who wants to restore the sengoku period. What dissonance, that is.
Shinpachi offers his own life as only he and Serizawa have samurai lineage, hoping the old man would spare the other Miburo who are made up of farmers and ronin, but loudmouth Sanosuke steps in and takes the old man's polearm.
The Miburo are outcasts.
The kids, especially Nio, have made a huge impact on the Miburo.
I was wondering if the old man would commit seppuku following a realization of his grave error in following the Risshidan but one of his own got him instead.

Shinpachi and Serizawa managed to convince the old man to change sides, but of course he had to die at the end.
