literaly 6 minutes of this episode is jsut filler... so much more happened in this arc XDDD in the manga they only showed 1 bike scene and it was mostly irrelevent... they removed important stuff for 6 minutes of filler why jc staff why

What happened to the animation? Especially the scene under the tree... ??
Not to mention how fast it was as an episode.. in a very small span of time ..all this happen?
Question.. is it also like this in the manga?

@Umaru14 6 minutes of it was filler... wasnt in the manga at all.. all the scene with the bike except 1 are non existant in the manga.. like they removed important stuff to put stupid fillers...
this tree scene also werent there.. and miura never stopped her bike, she even never fell from it

I really want to love this episode, but it feels like the animation budget was completely cut and they decided to animate the manga literally panel by panel. Because of this, the vibe is completely different in a way I dont think was intended.

The story of the episode is Uka figuring out how to ride the vibe, becoming more independent from Kai emotionally while growing closer to him in the process. The perspective shifts from solely Uka's to how the world around her perceives her contrasting her perception of herself. Because of this shift in the story, it makes sense the art style would change to match the shift in perspective. Uka moves more freely so the lines become more thinner and wavier. The complicated set of the Cafe feels fresh and new compared to the generic backgrounds of the past five episodes. And my favorite, the falling star thing.

But it's clear there was little effort put into the animation. They dont even try to hide the choppy edits or clear panels extracted from the manga. There's a wipe transition straight out of PowerPoint. There is no movement at all aside from lips or still bodies being moved across the screen. When Cool Crush came out, they didn't even animate the characters we recognize coming out on stage.

I enjoy the tonal shift as Uka grows, but the animation went from average to literally nothing.

This MC has got to be one of the more pathetic ones I’ve watched in a long time. She’s acts like she’s never lived a day on this planet before. Can’t do anything without Kai.

I like her development gaining friends and wanting to be stronger, but she comes across as way too pathetic. I feel like shaking her and telling her to get her act together all the time. Girl, Kai is NOT that great.

I hope her character improves more since she’s branching out, but her over reliance and self worth are too linked to a single boy that it’s just so cringey.
