They probably started working on S2 while S1 was still airing. If the show is to have around 20 episodes, like you said, then they could divide the Seasons in two parts of 10 episodes each, if they need the time to work on it.

Frieren's Season 1 premiered exactly 1 year after its announcement with 28 episodes and still had great adaptation, so considering here time period is around 2 years, it shouldn't be a big deal.

I hope season 2 get all the way to goddess monument arc because that arc's conclusion seems like a perfect place to end a season. We'll see what happens later on also i assume we'll get a trailer on the next anniversary September 28 2025 since it is airing in January 2026

| @deg I base the possible number of episodes taking into account the number of chapters each arc has aswell. If they only adapt 2 arcs, that would leave us with only 8 episodes which is not objective for a season. Ending the season in the middle of the third arc wouldn't be objective aswell, they could do it but It would be anticlimatic. |

@shouko_u No, that arc ends in chapter 104, the manga has 140 chapters and it's currently on hiatus.
