It’s really living up to the Pre Animated PV and the style reminded me a lot of Mushoku S1 which makes sense since the director directed episodes for Season 1

He's credited as ED, AD for S1 ep 21 (P2 ep10) Th fight against Orsted.
No wonder I thought it looked familiar. Hoping him the best over his series directorial debut.

@OvergrownRover Was the PV from a year ago pre-animated? Why are the scenes in PV 1 almost identical to the previous PV?

@Desmascarado I don't think it was pre animated just a slightly earlier in production version maybe, after all they only have 1:30 for the trailer and they clearly want to make CERTAIN we know this has action.
I like to watch some anime, I like to talk about some anime, I dislike wars over some anime, but more than anything I love to live my life, anime is an enjoyable and entertaining addition onto my life but it's not my whole life.

@MewsicMagic The storyboards of the old and new PVs are identical but they are not the same, so I was worried when I read about the "pre-animated" PV because there are beautiful scenes in it that did not appear in PV 1.

@Desmascarado I think most of the scenes look just as good or even better than the teaser PV stuff. Honestly can’t wait to see a PV2 with more on this, studio kai is doing some great work here. I have no idea how good the source is and clearly almost no one on MAL has read it but at least the production side of things will likely hold up.

@MewsicMagic I was already looking forward to the anime since the first teaser but after PV 1 I couldn't take it anymore and read the novel.
The "pre-animated" teaser has scenes up to volume 2, what intrigues me is how they will adapt it if it is done quickly, volume 1 should be adapted in three episodes, one per arc being them "first arc, cave arc and fortress arc"

@MewsicMagic All I know about the novel is that it came in third place in some award in 2023, but it's strange if the work was unpopular it wouldn't be getting an anime
