| This is one of the more interesting shows I am watching this season, that doesn't hesitate to dive right into the story and the mysterious Kowloon being its backdrop. I love how Reiko is not a stereotypical character and is at the forefront of the mystery as she cannot remember her past. |
| This feels really nostalgic like an era of anime with art design and style from the 90s, which I assume is the setting in which we have Kowloon. While I personally would not want to live there due to the crowdedness it does seem like a cool place to check out from afar, and is perfect for a mystery anime. |

@MegamiRem How would you compare the adult romance of Kowloon to that of ReLIFE? I've been enjoying Kowloon a good amount but I think it is likely carried by the mystery aspect, not sure how I feel about Reiko and Kudou to be honest, especially with their introduction it feels like Kudou is still very held up on his past with Kujirai B.
| @Genecos It's a different kind of drama romcom than kowloon. If u do watch it, it's recommended to read the rest of the story from the manga after s1. |

| People were concerned about the fast pacing because the anime is adapting a ton from the manga, but personally I thought it was fine from an anime-only viewer. I think maybe we are missing some backstory to why Reiko is into Kudou and the romantic aspects of how she feels but I think they nail the chemistry with how they interact with each other. Then a half-asleep Kudou pulls her in for a kiss only to say that he is confusing her for someone else XD. |
| One of the better first episodes I've seen this season, and it really draws you into the setting Kowloon. Reiko seems like a great protagonist and the mystery + romance aspect of the show is intriguing. |

| I got attracted by Kowloon City setting. Then it turns out this is not the original one xD Lets see, there are some nice Kowloon-like shots. BUT she should report him. I get this is a romance story, but still one of last scenes was of very bad taste fot this adult-like, reality-like setting.:/ |

| So far this anime has everything I love, a handsome leading man, a beautiful, busty leading lady, a unique location that's not Generic Japan, and something weird floating in the sky. Then the mystery... I've always wanted to go to Hong Kong and just experience the location, the crowded alleys, the busy shops like I did in Korea. This Anime delivers. This is definitely not Generic Japan like we see in a hundred other animes, this is China. This isn't the sterile plastic covered locations we get in most productions, this series is taking us on a trip to somewhere we've never been, but it's right there, just a quick 18 hour flight from home. Then there's the photo... now we're cooking! I'm excited to see what else they have in store for us! |
| good to see that the anime clears up pretty soon that the generic doesn't mean what we expect right from the beginning. i'm intrigued. i like the characters, the music, the design and i fell in love with kowloon. had to look it up after the first episode and that's such a cool setting for a story. wednesday campanella for the op was a weird but nice choice. love utaha's voice. and well, ramiel there always watching is surely ominous. i'm really confused, but in a good way. (about the adaptation being the way it is, my only concern is always the original ending. i actually like when things are done this way. if this turns out to be a really good story, i still have the manga to explore more of it and that's exciting.) |

| Aside from a bit of mystery and the admiration + devoted love for Kowloon... (Home of mold upon mold, tetanus-inducing and food in weird conditions. Lol) I don't know what else this show is about. It's only the first episode, though. I'm not crazy about fan service, so I appreciate that the scenes were brief. On the other hand; I wasn't expecting a kiss as quickly as in the first episode. The ending definitely made me want to watch more! |
