Jigoku Sensei Nube (2025) Episode 2 Discussion

Okay, so the anime adapted the first chapter in episode 1, but here in episode 2, it skipped chapters 2-10 and adapted chapters 11 and 12, but is very different from the manga and 1996 anime (the 1996 anime was closer to the manga when adapting these chapters). So are they skipping all the episodic chapters and only focusing on ones with plot in it? If so, then this should be much more interesting. The manga and 1996 anime were episodic shows, so the remake changing it to a show with an overarching story makes it a better show honestly.

@yamiyugi101 Sadly, it means Akira is probably not gonna get his focused chapter adapted, which means Miki is probably not going to have the romantic tension I see even just skimming through the first few volumes with Akira, like Kyouko with Hiroshi. Probably gonna get ones for Makoto and Katsuya, given they're present from the start and get focus, though the pink hair and purple haired girls in the background are Noriko and Shizuka, from what I gather. And my guess is we won't see Izuna, a popular character that's actually 14, until the second season,

I really loved this episode. I'm very surprised they introduced Tamamo-sensei so early! (his fox? kitsune? I used to call him kitsune, it's the same after all... his kitsune form was so cute and fluffy!!!!) he was ruthless but lacked a bit of depth... I hope they do his development right. Also, it is Ritsuko-sensei the one from the ending song???

@holdingnothing I think Izuna might appear in season 1 it might take awhile since she will be an important character since my theory for season 2, it might be Nube vs. Zekki.

It looks good but it looks plain as fuck, would've been better if this got the Yaiba treatment as this is way way better
