| It was quite cringe tbh. I did not care any of those characters at all. Typical brainless battle shonen with demons, at least that's my impression from the 1st ep. |
| This was hyped up quite alot but I'm mainly watching this for the Oral Cigarettes opening lol. Gotta say though, This went from 0 to 100 really quick. Maybe it's the pacing or they just wanted to be done with the intro as fast as possible. Also I was not expecting to see CGI in the first episode already, Although I don't mind it for sure. Typical Shounen start, MC finds out he has a special lineage, Parents die. The blood aspect is really good to see though, They can do some creative stuff with it. |

| Wow, in first 5 mins, unlikable MC, godawful dialogues with generic plot, terribly done FX art for special abilities, terribly animated 3DCGI (maybe I've been spoiled by seeing 3D in Donghua's recently) and a pointless death of MC's "father" to shoehorn emotional touch, which doesn't work when your audience doesn't give a shit about any characters on-screen. Also, nice job rushing the plot. Was the writer in a hurry? MC got introduced and "awakened" in like first 14 mins. No world/character buildings, nothing interesting. I guess MC will goto school (next like someone mentioned) and will take part in a fucking tournament while on the way to a sauna, discussing how amazing Japanese food is while yelling like an asshole throughout the series to annoy the shit out of people who are trying to watch the show. Meh. I'll give this 1/10 unless the next few episodes somehow manage to be interesting. English dub is shit though, might as well watch the subbed version. EDIT: Oh yeah, just realized. It reminded me of that shitty Blue Exorcist anime, with similar looking character. |

| The introduction as a bit lacking, but after seen the fight scenes and characters, it looks like this is going to be a good shonen to watch. P.S. I'm not lying when I say this, but the only reason I'm watching this series is because of the two bbw blondies characters I've recently seen in tiktoks. Them curves can hypnotise a man for days! |

| I don’t understand what was interesting in this episode Random drama with annoying adopted kid at the start Too many things were predictable like MC being clueless, slow to react(just annoying), get awakening seeing his father losing the fight, the father was going to die protecting him… The momotaro guy just dragged it instead of killing MC on the first encounter and after they exit the car… good job The sob story was done weakly, I hardly know the father and it was so predictable that he is going to die so why bother Animation felt off a bit but was overall fine I don’t feel like giving it 3 episodes or so with how this episode went (and some other points I didn’t bother writing) |
| Interesting first episode, a bit rushed but at least the pacing is not painful slow like other shounen which its very positive. The fight was intense and the ending was just sad, he couldn't even bury his adoptive father. |

| delinquent MC humbled by the truth of his origins. the story starts off very edgy and for good reason, oni living in union with momotaro is a novel idea. Good episode but I cannot help but notice the art style is similar to chinese donghua. the momotaro organisation heads are also very ominously mummified bodies? shaky |

| Time to restart this alright... Mangaka Yura Urushibara's lone series is yet another dark fantasy series that's based on Japanese folklore. The lazy son of the Ichinose family, Shiki, is quite the rebellious kid who got expelled out of school, much to his foster father Tsuyoshi's disdain. However, with the presence of a Momotaro trying to steal Shiki away, Tsuyoshi managed to get him in time to whisk him away. However, even that wasn't enough to evade capture efforts from the Momotaro Agency's member of Samidare Momoya, prompting a full-scale fight against his father, the former member of the Agency, Tsuyoshi Momogawara, and coincidentally Momoya's Senpai at that. Despite putting up a good fight against Momoya, Tsuyoshi's fight to save his own son (who doesn't know anything about this) becomes the desperate move to awaken Shiki's Oni blood, which is the worst kind of enemy that Momotaros like Momoya are trained for to counter against a borne ferocious and decaying evil, which Shiki doesn't understand given his spontaneous transformation. That is the final straw in the coffin for Tsuyoshi to act as Shiki's shield, dying a valiant death that's all for his son to put up a fight against the Momotaro Agency going forward. The world of both the Momotaro and Oni, as Shiki's about to realize, is a world that he's going to be a big part of, living out their traditions. The Oral Cigarette's OP sure feels the same, but yet, also different from their usual style. A good start, really appealing. |

| yawwnnn ive seen so much of this before. the cant-take-myself-seriously intro really was not the best start for me the main thing keeping me is the whole anime being from the oni side i like that, and i like how they depicted semidare attacking first the fight scenes were pretty good, liked the use of cgi. was smooth the shiki transformation into an oni reveal was good without the ending with the skater guy coming in, wouldve been 2/5 |
