| might be best episode so far, animation drama romance character and character development just peak, i already know from when subaru first debut that were going to like her and i'm right i love her so much and i hope she comes to like herself very soon so that she could be friend with rintaro and his friend, and i also really like what subaru said "Kaoruko the guy you fell in love with is too kind for his own good" awwwww my godd too cute too wholesome i love it so much, and really hypothetically if waguri doesn't exist i would totally ship rintaro and subaru but man waguri exist and of course she still way better than subaru, hope subaru overcome her struggle and become someone who doesn't refer to themselves as Someone like me anymore |

| Quite a touching episode, huh? Through a lengthy in-depth conversation, we're shown the close friendship between Kaoruko and Subaru—like an inseparable deadly duo. So far, I like the concept, which can be serious at certain times but also interspersed with just the right amount of comedy that doesn't cringe. |

| Pretty good episode, I hope by the end of the series this feud between the highschools will be gone and everything will be well though cuz it's lowkey getting kinda boring since there doesn't really seem to be much reason for them to hate each other that much |

| Subaru can be annoying at times, but this development is beautiful. Look at Kaoruko man, so inspirational. She's actually out here saving lives. |

| Strongest episode in the series so far. Kaoruko admitted to Subaru that she likes Rintaro. The two girls' friendship resonated to me more than the romance between the MCs, but maybe that's for later. It has that "final episode of another anime" feel. Animation-wise, it's also Cloverworks's best, and that's saying a lot because they have put out banger after banger these past few years. The rough edges in execution I saw in Episode One is gone or indistinguishable. Here, they used the hand-drawn-on-CG technique that I typically see in KyoAni anime. While not as great as what you see in that studio or Ufotable, it still enhanced the cinematography and direction of the playground scene by a lot. |

| The friendship between Kaoruko and Subaru is so beautiful! The way they care about each other is really heartwarming! Also, Rintarou is so charming and too adorable!! I love how he is concern and understanding toward Subaru, but even so, he remains faithful to his feelings for Kaoruko. Just an amazing episode!! |
| The one who was separating them ends up bringing them closer together. Seeing this much communication and transparency in a high school romance, between characters who initially were at odds, feels illegal. This is anime f**king PREMIUM, for no extra charge. |

| Dear lord this anime is cheesy as fuck. Wind constantly blowing their hair around like another cyclone is about to hit Japan, birds flying around with soundtrack picking up. You've seen this shit in so many anime at this point, I'm still trying to figure out why this generic romance story is 8.66/10, other than the fact that Netflix's American audience has never seen such shit before. Can we also talk about how MC doesn't respect his own friends enough to tell them truth, meanwhile he's running around declaring shit like "Her friends, I wanna be nice to them." Bros before hoes does not register to this man. Men don't act this way, at all. This shit HAS to be written by a woman. Might as well sit through rest of this, but so far this is 5/10 average anime. |

| Insanely gorgeous art and animation, enough to compensate for the slow melodrama. It's practically bursting with love from the animators. Everyone's making a mountain out of a mole hill, but they're so kind and pretty about it, and they're holding actual conversations and taking actual steps forward. It's going to be an easy show to finish, but I really hope they pick up the pace a bit and throw in some variety. |
