| Despite how he seems, Masumi is quite observant. Looks like this episode turned into a pseudo mystery with the purpose to find the arsonist. There's a certain level of psychology behind this. The small details of this episode also showed some characters' intelligence and skills. Shiki still has to get stronger to play his role as part of the team. |

| I feel like the best episodes of this show have been those focusing on Natsu and Mikado. Pretty decent episode for a change, that inevitable conflict between them is going to really hurt because Mikado has stuck his neck out vouching for Natsu and genuinely trusts him. When he eventually finds out Natsu is an oni.. oof. Fuck Mikado’s partner for trying to set them up too |

| After the comical vileness of that corpse puppeteer momotaro guy, I can appreciate Shinya's brand of slimy cunningness especially now that he's dialling it up to eleven to make the Shiki-Mikado drama as juicy as possible. |

| Good episode, but the way that Ichinose is trusting Mikado with the oni's job is so reckless. I mean, it's on character for him, but still lol I'm happy to see more Byobugaura screen time |

| Shinya is so goddamn annoying. Worst character by far, more than the anxiety riddled guy by a landslide. Holy shit its so bad. I can see why all of the comments have flopped so hard. Same thing over and over again. |

| Personally I think this arc has been the best of the show so far. Mind you I don't think it's good but frankly I think it's better than the first arc. At the very least there's some character development and relationship building, which is more than I can say for the first arc. And I hate Shinya less as an antagonist than I did Tsubikiri, they both suck but Shinya's a little less annoying to me, provided they don't try to give Shinya a lame "sympathetic" backstory like they did Tsubikiri. Plus Mikadono is a likable character, so he's better than most of the cast by default. Actually if I'm being honest, the fact Shiki's class has barely been present for the past few episodes is probably why I like this arc better than the first, because they're all so annoying and unlikable, that not having them around is an automatic plus. |
| Give credit where credit is due, the momotaro villains are creative. Previously we have someone who controls the dead and now some mf who manipulates people. I like this one more and I would like him even more when he's dead after all this. |

| Just like the general hospital inferno case, Shinya pulling the strings on the Kanto Nuts Union, as well as Mikado not realizing that his own boss is sabotaging him by bringing the intel to him, everything is going as planned. Masumi having an inspection on Jin, and the most likely suspect being of hidden surveillance, it could not have come from a local Momotaro. And it's this intelligence and spirit that shows the chops of a true Oni, as Masumi double takes on their strategy going forward since they're at a total disadvantage. At the same time, the students getting a route out on the gang in pairs, that's the only thing they can do for now. Mikado still believing that Shiki (as Natsu) will be of help to him, and yet, his pure naivety at the cost of Shinya knowing the full narrative to twist the story as he pens it, if he can erode that trust with doubt, it's just an unravelling waiting to happen in due time as Shiki goes searching with Homare, which is secrecy in full form, but him having to reveal his plot, it's just the action the Momotaros have been waiting for. Mikado...better get some sense of what your boss is thinking before he destroys your relatipnship with Shiki... |

| So Shinya had all this plan to make Mikado have a reason to kill Shiki. Honestly, I'm surprised by this plot, I feel like this arc has a better writing than the previous arc. I personally like how they are giving time for Mikado actually have a reason to turn against Shiki, and not be something senseless or rushed, so I'm glad they are taking their time with that, especially considering how close the 2 are. But Shinya really is getting on my nerves, destroying this friendship and risking the lives of so many people for his own benefit... And I suppose that is going to get those subordinates of his killed, and blame it on Shiki too (since Shiki now also asked Mikado for help in that regard). It's really sad to see how the fate between Shiki and Mikado is already really bleak... I wonder if they will be able to be friends again after this misunderstanding gets resolved, but considering Momotarou's position, I don't know if Mikado would be able to do that. Anyways, it's great to see that Mikado is genuinely kind, and still wants to believe "Natsu" didn't do anything. But considering the last scene, something is about to happen after they give out that info. Anyways, I'm really excited to see how this will play out. Mikado and Shiki's confrontation is getting close, and I'm curious to see how that will play out. This arc has been much stronger than the last one, mostly due to the writing, and how many of the things that are happening actually make sense and are well thought out. But it's still possible something like Shiki getting all of a sudden powered enough to kill Tsubakiri to happen in this arc though. |
