I was tricked into reading a "religious text". Honzuki is a "Hagiography". (prove me wrong?)

At first I thought and made the comment as a joke, but now that I'm reading Part 5 I'm not joking anymore, that is my impression.
Anyone else felt something like this? Or now that you're reading this, do you agree?

just remember that I'm still at Volume 5 from Part 5

Finish the series and read the first volume to the spin off. Your opinion should change somewhat by the time you finish. Also if you want engagement I recommend posting this to the subreddit HonzukiNoGekokujou

I think it's important to make the distinction between faith and knowledge. Myne knows that the gods are real for a fact and that praying has tangible rewards. it's a means to an end, as well as an exchange (mana for a chance that the gods take action for you) in that sense she's much more like a cleric than a saint.
There's a point earlier in the series (I think maybe pt2 or 3, not sure) where she's like "you can say these words and the gods give you stuff? why isn't everyone doing this?!"

The other nobles in the world technically know that the gods are real but due to social norms (priests and therefore praying being looked down on) and the mana shortage no one really does it so to them Myne seems saintly due to her dedication to the gods when in reality she just has so much mana that she's like a kid playing gacha with her parents credit card, she's gonna keep rolling until she gets what she wants.

as for your speculation you are asking questions that can't be answered without spoilers so I won't delve into that.

If she only followed the protocols, yes, but she goes far beyond. Not only she becomes a beacon to direct the people to the good, she gives new meanings to the relationships with the Gods and Goddess.
Not to mention she acts as their tool, she is at least a Saint, with life trials and all.
