This was a really interesting episode, where I think it shows really well the good and the bad aspects of the anime.
The good aspects is how sometimes the anime can be creative with its storytelling. For example, using a VR headset this episode on Jin, to fool Shinya into thinking that hideout was full of Oni. And the battle between Ikari and Ousuke was really interesting (more on this later).
On the other hand, it also shows how the author has difficulties in setting up these battles without making it have a weird setting. For example, this episode, the idea was for the students (namely Ikari) have a battle against a though opponent, and the author decided to just have Mudano wait for these Momotarou with his own untrained students, like, that doesn't make much sense, especially considering they especifically say that they could have bought more time with that VR trick. The power scalling in this anime is really worrysome too. We actually never got a really full explanation in how long each student was at the school training, but we know that Shiki at least is only there for a few weeks at most, so the others must not be far from that. Considering students are being able to fight these Momotarou Vice-Captains arises a lot of questions about the strenght of the Momotarou honestly. And I'm already expecting a super Overpowered Shiki against Mikado too. Talking about Shiki, once again, it doesn't make sense for Mudano to send Shiki, the Kishin child, important to Oni, to fight Mikado alone, in fact, it would have made more sense to have him somewhere safer honestly, considering that was their main intent in the beginning of this arc.
But besides that, the anime is just fun to watch honestly. I'm personally surprised with Ikari, and now I understand better why they presented Ikari in that 1st arc the way they did. It was always a bit weird to me why they said at the time Ikari's power had a limit of activations per day, while for the others that was never an issue. I feel like this episode cleared out that issue, it seems Ikari's power is more like a lucky wheel, where he randomly gets a power, that could a bit weak (like those tiny swords), or really powerful, like those blood wings. So, in a way, Ikari can become one of the most powerful characters in the show, if he gets a good "pull". This makes his power a bit unreliable though, since he can only activate it 2 times, so if he's unlucky the 2 times, well, it's done for him. We also got a bit of a preview to his backstory, where it seems everyone from his friend group was murdered by the Momotarou (interested in hearing it later on). The fight scene looked really cool overall, and the CGI once again was well used. With this, Ikari became one of the most interesting characters in the anime so far for me. It better explains why he was also quite good against Yomogi too!
So I'm expecting a Shinya vs Jin (that one should be easy), a Mikado vs Shiki (probably the most intense from all the fights) and a Mudano vs Tsukuyomi (honestly, the one I'm more curious about, curious to see Tsukuyomi in action). The end of this episode seemed to show next episode we're getting the Mikado vs Shiki one, but by the title I would say it's actually Mudano vs Tsukuyomi.
So overall, it was a good episode, but the way they set up these fights, with all of them just peacefully agreeing who they would fight against, was a bit odd honestly, and something that it's not the first time it happens in this anime.
Edit: Forgot to mention, but I don't think Ikari is dying from that fight, someone is coming to the rescue (maybe even Kyouya). Also, it made 0 sense why the others didn't take the opportunity to kill Ousuke while he was still weak after his battle with Ikari. Like, once again, showing how this anime has these kind of problems in its narrative, the author has certain plans for the characters, but doesn't really know how to make them happen, so it makes these weird scenes. At the same time, look at Ousuke and Ikari's fight, it was really creative with its abillities and it was just super exciting to watch, a trully Shounen battle, in the best way possible.
