I feel like it is a popular Anime and lots of people watched it. Everyone is asking for it, so will they make it happen or is it a lost cause?

It was a short manga, fully adapted. Not sure why they left an open ended message at the end. Would have to be anime original

Manga got canceled I think, and the anime adapted everything there is. From a studio's perspective, there's no profit in making a second season that is fully anime-original when the manga is canceled.

unlikely, s1 already adapts the whole manga, maybe they will make an anime original s2 but there arent been any news since s1 came out so I really dont think so

Since it fully adapted the manga that was canceled I think they just left it open at the end in case/hope it became super popular and there was demand for a second season.

It is but there isnt any more manga content left to adapt. If they wanted to do more content it’d would all be anime original

I'm pretty sure the author had already started a new series and stated that he wants people to imagine the ending (take what I say lightly I'm not even sure this is 100% true)

I've rewatched this anime 3 times already. And that's rare for me. I so want a conclusion to it with a true romantic ending, but alas it'll probably never be. 😔
