about episode 9 of season 3 since one punch man in the manga is different to the webcomic anyway i will just treat the anime as a different timeline like how the webcomic is another timeline and the manga another different timeline so there is no canon

plus if youre reading future manga arcs then

so how about you? or are you too fixated about which is canon or not?

I don't care about any of that anymore. This anime is already dead to me, so I don't care if it's canon or not. I just want the season to finish to get this crap over with. I don't even think we will get another season, and if we do get it, it won't happen anytime soon, probably in another 6 years, and in that time, a bigass meteor may hit Earth, and we will be dealing with other issues; OPM S4 will be the least of our worries.

And the director will need therapy after this one.

Well every anime is a "different timeline" from the manga it's adapting.

Crazy how opm fans will use any excuse to cope. Bad animation? Impossible deadline, fuck bandai. Bad pacing? It's the same thing in the manga, what can jc staff do lol. Not canon? Opm is a multiverse later in the manga, so this anime adaptation is only one of the many branches so technically the anime is canon.

Can you guys not learn how to accept fuck ups?

Dude the webcomic and the manga are not even in the same canon and if anything the anime adapts the manga

Ok not even the manga and the manga are in the same timeline after 50 redraws

Isn't the anime based on the manga? Manga is based on the webcomic, which is the most "canon" and original version of the story, so either way both anime and manga aren't 1:1 adaptation of the webcomic.

@Ani_Lover99 True, that's one option, the other option is to keep watching, finish it, and shit on it. I'll choose the 2nd option since it's my life and I can do whatever I want with it. Is that fair for you? Mister obvious?

There's no such thing as canon in Japan. They use terms like 公式 (kōshiki: official) or 本編 (honpen: main story) for main plots. All shows are their own timeline, the anime version, the manga version, the web manga version, etc.

@ToumaTachibana somewhat according to ai

gemini chatbot - the "canon" of a story
if you are asking about the term "canon" in the context of a storys continuity ("is this movie canon to the series?"), the japanese concept is less about an abstract idea of "canon" and more about official status
official vs unofficial: in japan, discussions often focus on what is "official" (produced or sanctioned by the original creator or studio) versus what is not (fan works)
source material authority: when a story exists in multiple formats (manga, anime, light novel), the original source material (usually the manga or novel) is almost always considered the highest authority for the storys true continuity, and anime original events are often considered non canonical unless specified otherwise

These frauds might as well go with the original idea of Saitama attempting a sit down convo with a certain form of Garou.... but that would require more 12... no, 20 episodes.
So only 5 years later..... and then maybe reboot this trash for the REAL SEASON 3? FUCK THIS SHIT.

First, the anime was too much like manga (not even talking about animation side) and now it's too different, sigh, i wish i could just block posts for this season from appearing on the home page

This is a weird way to say that OPM is reaching Dragon Ball level of inconsistencies. xd
Now everything is different. The manga is different from the webcomic and the anime is different from the print manga. This production is beyond saving.

They adapted the original child emperor fight ... both versions don't necessarily change the plot
