I saw the manga is 12 volumes long. Is the anime finished or does it need another season to be totally adapted?

it needs to be! there's a lot to cover up, i mean. the manga isn't that long(on equal length with My Dress Up Darling) and it's straightforward to its goal and theme. i will be very happy to see it announced.

The Anime adapted 68 of the 111 Chapters of the Manga, so there is around 8 Episodes worth of content left. A 2nd Season is very much unlikely with this quantity tho, and the Manga ended a few months after the Anime.

No it isn't finished. Around half of the chapters are left to be adapted. They could make a short season 2 though.

They could stretch it out a little to make 12 episodes, but this studio can't make anything good with that.

In my uninformed opinion, I don’t believe we will see a new Sukimega anime.

Anime like these, coming from the yuri manga adaptations (Yagate Kimi ni Naru, Adachi to Shimamura, and many others), are promotional series to sell more of the light novels or manga they adapt, or at least that’s the feeling I get:

low scope, well adapted, niche audiences, no further announcements to be spoken of as of right now (again, uninformed in every conceivable way, please correct me if I’m mistaken)

Just the feeling I get, if else, please show me otherwise.

Obviously, Sukimega’s producers/studios haven’t announced anything yet, neither in the camp of cancelation, nor a sequel. Only time will tell.
