I wanted to ask if you gained a taste for Rock Music from hearing openings like "Kill The Noise" from Sentenced To Be a Hero (or similar openings) that you didn't have for rock before? Do you recognize any other artist names?
(Link to an anime opening of a song by other artists on spotify)

SPYAIR (Sentenced To Be A Hero)
The Oral Cigarettes
Band-Maid
My First Story
Asian Kung-Fu Generation
Nico Touches The Walls
SiM
Who-ya Extended
TK from Ling tosite sigure
Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas
coldrain
The Maximum Hormone
OxT
Bish
9mm Parabellum Bullet
SID
CIVILIAN
HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR
Hitorie
Paledusk

This is just some of artist I listen to but I noticed that western rock tends to generally lean on instruments of just electric guitar, drums, and bass. While J-Rock (Japanese Rock) uses more variety of instruments like violin, synthesizer, piano on top of using electric guitar and drums that differentiates itself with some artist also just doing the same from western rock. Hearing violin and piano being harmonized with guitar in the opening of Sentenced To Be a Hero brings glee to my ears.

There are a lot of European metal and rock bands that use different instruments from guitars and drums, especially the northern countries, heck there is a band who became popular after covering Metallica tracks playing with only cellos. Anyway good songs you got there.

I prefer low melody songs like "Inori" from Shiboyugi. They're soothing.

I loved Kill the Noise, but unfortunately the music isn't entirely rock. The band members themselves said that the song was written before they could see the anime's animation, meaning the music is lighter compared to the anime.

I saw some covers of the song with a guitar solo, although the only highlight, in my opinion, was the vocalist.

I started my journey into j-rock with the peggies’ opening for Buta Yarou, Kimi no Sei. That album (Hell Like Heaven) was fantastic. I hardly listen to anything western now although before that I was mainly a rock and metal fan. Current or recent shows with great intros include anything with a Sizuk song like Gliding Claw from the new dragon egg isekai, or Daybreak from a recent ecchi harem adventure. The recent Chico/Honeyworks song from the noblewoman with brass knuckles show was epic too. All the Bang Dream output is top class, also Girls Band Cry’s TogeToge are superb.
Leaving rock for a moment, the Catcher at the Ball Park opener sung by Fairouz Ai just elevated the whole show!
Akari Kitou is on fire recently too, also Konomi Suzuki, and Tenrogun. And who can ignore Hanabie’s recent efforts? Oh, and Passcode’s opening for the Flum Apricot yuri masterpiece kicks ass too. I have 4000+ J-rock songs downloaded or bought physically so far, about 30% from anime. Plus a few from Korea and Thailand. Yes, Minda Ryn is a personal favourite. I got to spend 5 minutes with her at the Hibana single launch a few years back, her English is good compared to my Japanese…

I meant it as a generality since you have bands like Apocalytica using Cello but I find it being more niche over here versus J Rock at least modern times. Going old school you do have european bands like The Rolling Stone, The Animals, that do use piano from having blues heavily rooted in their sound.
Going 70s and 80s you got Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Mötley Crüe, Guns N' Roses, Aerosmith, Iron Maiden, Red Hot Chili peppers, Ram Jam, Slayer.

90s you got Nirvana, Rob Zombie, Metellica, Megadeth, Misfits, Refused, Green Day,

00's you got The White Stripes, Advenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days of Grace, Dragonforce, Static-X, Queens of The Stone Age, Finger Eleven, The Killers, Slipknot, Bullet For My Valentine, Godsmack, Sum 41, System of a Down, Evanescence and so on

If they do use piano or other instrument normally it's not for energetic songs outside of guitar and drums by in large. Where I argue that J-Rock has their sound moreso made of it by more bands than the West. Where the difference stands from the sound (foundation) you'll hear rock in the west versus the sound of J-Rock. When they mix it with the chords of guitar and drum beats creating their energetic openings.

Not this song specifically but "anime opening rock" has definitely influenced my collection in the past 10 years. Kizukeyo Baby by The Oral Cigarettes was the first song for me, still haven't seen Noragami tho lol
