How can I hardsub and keep the stylized subs? I regularly use Alltoavi, Ultra Video Converter and few other programs to convert MKVs and OGMs to avi. But the subs end up as a plain white font like this-- So any program that will keep the subs like this when I hardcode?  |

| I found that a program called Handbrake.It will hard sub the stylized subs.I found that even though it can only convert to MP4s and MKVs I can always convert those AVIs. I find that Hardsubbed MKVs work better than MP4 with Alltoavi when I want to convert to avi. https://sites.google.com/site/taumox/handbrake-tutorial 1.Open up handbrake. 2.Drag your MKV to handbrake. 3.select your output settings container to Mp4 4.Look at the picture tab and make sure the top,bottom,left and right cropping is set to 0.If these numbers are not zero then click on custom and set them to zero.Because I have found that when these numbers are not zero the subs will jumble. 5.click on the Subtitles tab. 6.Look for where it says source and select your subtitle. It may just say unknown SSA or unknown ASS or it may say English SSA or English ASS. If its a licensed anime with multiple subs you may have to play the anime on your pc first to see which subs are what so that you know whether or not you have to pick to the 1st,2nd or 3rd subs. 7.Check the burned in box. 8.If you are dealing with dual audio anime then go to the Audio tab and select your language. 9.I will click on the video tab and and make sure the Constant Framerate is selected.You do not have to do this. 10.click on the start button on the top.Or click on the Add To Queue option. 11.If you click on the Add to Queue option then repeat steps 2-10 again. |
