I am genuinely attracted to tomboys. I like them more then regular girls, and I like them so much more then males. One thing I know is that I like girls with short hair, but I think there much be more to it then that. If I'm Les, why tomBOY's then?? It's paradox I can't understand.

Anyone feel the same?

well tomboys are the fraking best in all ways, and it takes a girl to make the perfect boy ;)

masculine girls have the good trades a boy has: Strength, protectiveness, etc and all girl's good trades too: fair skin, romantic side, the lack the brutal roughness guys have.

so they make the perfect boy :)
since they are girls they understand other girls :)

Ya your so right! most my friends say that's exactly why they like tomboys. But for me, it's also more physical. I think they're just more attractive. men are ugly and they're not soft or cute or pet-able. but i don't like a lot of girls' flirty giggly personalities.

I just love it how everyone else thinks she's just like a guy, but sometime you can see her cute sweet side.

Oh same here even so i'm not gay/bi or stright more like i'm asexual.
Maybe I like it because 1. Doesn't like being girl or girlish stuff, 2. two gender in one "It" (that sound kind bit creepy to me), 3.easy to understand them.

I like tomboy x tomboy maybe because it close to BL and little yuri in it.

I find it interesting how regardless of gender or sexual orientation we seem to like tomboyish girls for the same reasons. As a straight guy they appeal more to me from a personality standpoint. I don't really get the fascination with ultra-shy, constantly blushing, docile girls in a lot of anime. I prefer my girls to be headstrong and go-getters. Simple as that.

see these two hugging? they have around 1000 ladies screaming for them
they are actresses who excel at playing male role in a particular theater
they are not only portray to be men on stage but also off stage they try to be as masculine as possible, though they are extremely cute at the same time

@KuroTsuki Japanese like to say: 百合なのに薔薇 (Yuri nano ni Bara: BL that is actually GL)
when they see such videos :)

this. Though they don't have to be strong, or tomboyish or anything... I just hate the moe type of girls :/

i like what is called bifauxnen. A girl that looks like a guy that looks like a girl. It sounds wierd, but if you read enough yuri manga you must have seen some. It's kind of like looking gender neutral. The good qualities of masculine and feminine. She would look good as a boy and a girl, and people probably wont know what she is, but would still think she looks good either way.
I guess i like it because i don't like delicate looking girls, but i also don't like dominating masculinity.
The male version is bishounen, they are much more common. That makes bifauxnen even more special, they are rare. They are gold.

I'm the same way, i'm a lesbian too. Part of the reason why I like tomboys is because we have the same interests (i'm a tomboy myself). its hard to connect with a girl who is all about having their hair perfect and nails done when you could care less how ur hair is and you bite your nails. just stating my opinion here...
How do you know when this thing called "love" truly exsists?

I agree fully with others. I'm a straight male, and I think tomboy characters are awesome. One of the many reasons I love Revolutionary Girl Utena as much as I do.

Because you are, I suppose, the feminine lesbian counterpart, therefore you are attracted to manly women. There, paradox solved.

I love when girls dress like boys, but still maintain feminine look. Short hair is a must-have! Ayazawa Misaki from Kaichou wa Maid-sama, Nina Antalk from Chrome Shelled Regios, Riza Hawkeye from FMA.

Well, I really like guys with long hair, I'm not gay or anything but it's really boring when all guys have short hair....
As for girls I like somewhere between short and medium hair, and I agree with most ppl here, I'm growing tired of feminine girls who always swing their arms like girls do, big breasts and are just existing in anime.
I'm gonna take a look over this bifauxnen that has been mentioned earlier.
