| Knox's 1st The criminal must be mentioned in the early part of the story, but must not be anyone whose thoughts the reader has been allowed to know. Battler's thoughts have been shown both on the game board and in the metaworld and therefore, he cannot be the culprit. This doesn't deny the possibility he could be an accomplice.
