Imaishi is going to be drawing a new manga

Hiroyuki Imaishi, the director of this show (and also Dead Leaves and Gurren Lagann), is drawing a new Panty & Stocking manga in Anime Style magazine. The first manga wasn't done by him or anyone from the show itself and as a result didn't capture the feel of the series as well as it could have, but I have no doubts that this one will be awesome.

Also, I suspect that this might be the only follow-up to the series considering Imaishi has stated that he doesn't really have any strong feelings either way about making an entire new season, and will only bother if his boss tells him to.

If you look at the art, you'll notice that the character designs are pretty different - the girls look significantly much taller & closer to Imaishi's style than the more heavily Craig McCracken/Genndy Tartakovsky-inspired look of the show
