I had left it out for a while, honestly it feels very incomplete and all over the place, however, I really enjoyed it and loved the visuals, loved the possibilities, loved the girl being both cute and mysterious. The boy was incredibly weak but otherwise I feel terrible for him at the same time. He really got the short end of the stick. Some very sad moments too but otherwise it was a good anime, and it was definitely one of the rare few with the best Intros I've ever heard.

Mogi ends up dying and Ganta was able to kill Gengaku, we also saw his backstory and he sees death as salvation, he didn't give a good fight. Some prisoners were able to escape but Ganta wasn't one of them.

Tamaki is still the director and Ganta still doesn't know who is Wretched Egg. Shiro's backstory is still unknown and we will never know if those memories with Ganta are real or fake.

An unsatisfactory ending as I guessed, the show didn't have enough time to close the story. Many people mentioned about a season two but has been fifteen years and no season two yet so this is the end, well there is the ova but is not the same. If this anime was 24 episodes it could have been better.

I give it a 6/10, wasted many concepts, it has many plotholes and unsolved mysteries also many conveniences and the end is unsatisfactory, I hope the ova is better. Is a shame that it ended like this, the idea had potential.

I will watch the ova later but I don't think I will ever read the manga and I bet is the same thing.

It is a shame the anime won’t be getting a season 2. It’s been over 10 years and I wish I would’ve watched this sooner!
