its called the international version because it contained both English dub and subtitles and there are no "extra" scenes.

"In addition, an International Version was released in Japan on July 23, 2004. This version includes 20 minutes of extra footage, but none of the adult scenes found in the Director's Cut."

I've read about it at a bunch of sites and the above quote is from

@manga35 Were you ever able to find the international version?

Cause I'm wondering what these additional 20 minutes of content actually is - if it's even true.

I've seen many different websites say that the international version "adds 20 minutes of extra content" as claimed here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mezzo_Forte
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0427531/trivia/?ref_=tt_ov_ql_3
https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2004-06-08/mezzo-forte-international-version
as well as the duration listing on a bunch of dvd pages

even the official website of Studio Arms said the international version is 20 minutes longer:
https://web.archive.org/web/20140325115851/http://www.a-rms.co.jp/works/mezzoforte.html

..but the thing is, I've scouted the internet for hours searching in both english and japanese without being able to find a single piece of information about what this additional content is, nor have I found any streamed video or pirate files anywhere that indicates this is a thing.

Someone even said the exact same thing when this was announced on this forum:
https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7676

and the weird thing is, the Japanese streaming site Rakuten TV has an "Mezzo Forte - International Version" available for streaming
however they list it as 1 hour, the +20 mins nowhere to be seen. Now I don't know if this is just incorrect information on the page or what but something is weird here.

What I do know is that one of the DVD releases included special Commentary and Storyboard videos, however these are only 6 minutes in total, nowhere near the claimed +20 mins, so this can't be it.

So... Is there anyone who has actually seen the International version and knows what's going on? tyvm
It's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer.
