I find the girls designs fantastic. I find the following,

to be a most favorite. In fact I find them as appealing as Koihime but with a touch seriousness.

What do you think?

The character designs are rather interesting. And that pick at the end, I did a doubel take as I realized, that appeared to be some kind of flintlock/musket etc. Hrms. I can't recall ever seeing a black powder style arm used in an anime before, but I bet it has been.

even though I'm no harem fan rather reverse harem fan I'm watching for the history and the character designs.I have a slight story set set in this setting so I'm watching for the outfits of the girls too.

as long as it has more plot than fanservice I'm fine.

Well, Madhouse is working on this so I don't think they would disappoint. But shows like these tend to have quite a lot of fanservice which can make it either less enjoyable or enjoyable for different reasons.

Madhouse can't have a 100% record. Even they release crap occasionally. Since HOTD came out they released Tatami Galaxy, Kaiji Season 2 and Chihayafuru, easily 3 of the best titles of the last couple of years. I expect this show won't be anywhere near that level though.

This the third or fourth season in a row that we have sengoku leaders transform into girls and all that. It's getting repetitive.

Why? As far as fanservice shows goes it was one of the best. More sexy than moe and with action zombie stuff.

AH hah! I loved the bouncing breasts/armor. That was awesome, and I'm liking the anime overall as well. Practically the only historical anime that I've come to like. :o
